Mariscos Hector Sports Grill, Inc. — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Good atmosphere. Our server was nice. Just as previous online comments said the agua Chile has a kick to it. I ordered stuffed shrimp with a side of rice, bean, and, and salad it was okay. My friend ordered shrimp tostadas and said they where over salted but still edible.

The service was fast. It was between 5 and 8 minutes ( very acceptable on a slow day or even on a busy day). Overall the experince was good.

There were some negatives things that I noticed though.

The server did not wipe down the table before sitting us down.

The server touched her hair not very sanitary I know she dosent cook the food but does handle it.

One of the servers not mine. Seemed to be drinking beer, could be wrong on the beverage but if it was that's a liability for both the establishnent and the customers.

One thing noticed that happpebd contisly was that the servers just stood there and talked to each other (in front of the customers) instead of finding something to else to do.

One thing is clear that if the band's play you cannot here anything so it is hard to communicate with your server ( i don't know...

I just wanted to go on here and be honest 100% true of my experience so others don’t waste their money and time coming here. I ordered a plate and while eating it I found literally 5 small hairs under the rice.No joke!!! Immediately after I tried callling the waiter multiple times and I was ignored. Also know that the place was not busy and completely empty.once I told the waiter about the incident she smirked and giggled not taking it seriously. And while she was taking my plate I asked her for a discount or refund. She left and told her partners which later all of them went to the back and we waited there for a good ten minutes. Then there was one waitres and we asked for the check and realizing there was not discount or refund at all. When we asked about the discount or refund they stayed quite. Note that we did not even receive an apology from the waiters or chefs. Then when we asked if we could talk to the manger turned out that the one that we told about the hairs and later giggled was the manger!! Don’t waste your time...

This place is 'the' best accommoding Mexican sports bar restaurant type place in Orange County. All Hector's derive from #1, this was my last best experience, this one scores big for food (consistency) and just got well organized and so fast with food and service. This is the spot for events! In my case we watched the world cup game Mex vs. Korea. The tables were constantly being patrolled by waitresses and floating employees.
