Read moreMy boyfriend ordered me Aiden James Customs fang lights May 16th. Mind you, AJC posted on social media on May 16th that a large shipment of fangs had arrived and would be shipping after their return from the overland expo. Assuming they ordered enough supply for the demand, we were hopeful it would be a quick turnaround. My boyfriend then gets an email on June 6th saying they are in stock and will be shipping out soon but processing is taking awhile, blah blah blah, regular merchant email. Again, understandable and that's fine as it's only been a few weeks. We hear nothing until he receives another email on July 22nd stating that once again fangs have arrived and they are processing and shipping this week, then the email goes on to say that Shawnna's father had passed at the end of June, but that she is back in the shop and working on getting orders out. As of August 21st we still had not received the lights or any further updates so he called to cancel the order and is being charged a 20% restocking fee. How can you possibly charge a 20% restocking fee when it hasn't even been processed 14 WEEKS later? Unfortunately there is a loooong paper trail online of bad reviews about Aiden James Customs that he did not read prior to his order, along with multiple friends who have also come forward after my experience, including a friend who has been waiting since JANUARY for his lights. We make it a point to support smaller, family owned businesses when we can, and we are both usually very understanding and forgiving because we know that life happens, but damn. Don’t send customers multiple emails saying it’s in stock and shipping if that’s not the case??? It’s a shame because it’s very apparent the local orders and shop take priority over anything else. I ended up speaking with another company regarding their fang lights. They even provided me a discount code for the inconvenience that had NOTHING to do with them. I received my tracking information LESS THAN 20 MINUTES after I placed my order and they arrived to me in a little less than a week. Won’t be using anything AJC branded...
Read moreThis is the most unprofessional business I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
I ordered their upgraded Fang Lights on January 13, 2024, and the expected ship date was constantly pushed back - from late March to late April, then to no timeframe at all. After June 6th, I received zero updates.
I finally got in touch with Scott on July 19th. He offered to cancel my order, which I confirmed. Again, I heard nothing from them after that.
One of my many calls was finally answered on August 27th. They claimed the lights “were in stock” at the end of July and they were working on shipping them. They offered to send my order immediately. Given my past experience with their “we’ll ship ASAP” promises, I declined and requested a refund.
They canceled the order over the phone and said I’d get my refund in 3-5 business days. The shady part is the cancellation confirmation email states: “Order #AJCXXXX was canceled at your request and your payment has not yet been refunded.”
The 5th business day passed, and still no refund. I gave them extra time because of the holiday, but nothing. I called back on the 10th business day (today) to check on the refund. The representative said she’d issue it immediately but also informed me they charge a “20% restocking fee” on canceled orders. Neither Shawna nor Scott mentioned this fee when I initially asked to cancel. Restock what? A product you most likely don't even have in stock?
Now I’m out $119.56 (interest + their 20% fee) on a product they clearly couldn’t deliver and shouldn’t...
