South Coast Takeout – Santa Ana

This place has to be one of the worst cloud kitchens I’ve come across. It’s tucked away in a dinky industrial area in Santa Ana, mainly servicing DoorDash and other delivery services. The restroom’s been out of service for who knows how long, and that’s just the start. I’ve picked up from here many times, and it’s clear—they couldn’t care less about the drivers. If they did, they’d fix the restroom so we could at least use it.

The place itself is dirty, and the staff usually doesn’t speak English—they just point at the cubbies where you pick up your food. The whole vibe is sketchy and feels off. What makes it worse is that a lot of people don’t even realize they’re ordering from this rundown spot. It’s marketed to look like you’re getting something from a nice, legit restaurant, but it’s all coming from this dingy cloud kitchen.

This place is awesome. So much to choose from and convenient. I order from here all the time. Although I did get a few orders cancelled by the restaurants a few times. I'm thinking probably because they were slow and closing up soon or understaffed. One other time my order was wrong and my fault for not checking when picking up. One also assumes it's right because the food are in bags stapled shut. I had ordered some type of tater tot chicken nachos and ended up with $13 worth of only tater tots. I usually don't care if the order is wrong sometimes but $13 worth of tater tots is something I wouldn't want to eat by itself. When I requested a refund I can only be done that can only be done online, I was given a 20% off coupon for next time I order with that restaurant. Will not order from this specific restaurant anymore. But overall a great experience. And watch out on the automatic tipping...

Made an order around 9:45pm on thier website and never got notified that my order couldn’t be delivered. My order was just sitting there and not getting delivered. I ended up going at 10:50pm to find my food just sitting there. If they called me and told me no one was going to bring my order that would’ve been resolved. For me to have to go there to find my order just sitting there and having no one able to contact me at least 30 mins after it was made is...
