Subway — Restaurant in Santa Ana

I gave them two stars, not for the food but the service and the place looked clean. The food here is terrible. I ate there with my sister and cousin. I had fried chicken, they had pastrami and corned beef. My chicken was cut in odd pieces, reminded of Banquet frozen fried chicken but not as tasty. The corned beef and pastrami were below par. My husband and I went to a chili cook off in Tustin recently and they had chili to taste. Also not good. They had discounts to eat at the restaurant. My husband loves pastrami. I told him this is not good food. But he wants what he wants. He got pastrami, I got on open faced meatloaf sandwich with cole slaw mashed potatoes and gravy. My meatloaf was all filler. It didn’t taste like meat at all. The potatoes were gluey and gravy was terrible. Gravy from a packet would have been better. Cole slaw was limp, unfortunately the best thing in my plate. My husband didn’t care for this sandwich and the fries were served at room temperature. What I don’t get it there were a lot of people there and more coming in. Did their tastebuds die? I honestly don’t get it. For the price they charge I’d rather go to Katella Deli. Their food is head and shoulders...

I really like the Subs, and the service is awesome. I've been avoiding going due to the frustration of scanning the QR code from the app to get my points. Now, IT'S EVEN WORSE! Whoever is getting paid to do updates ought to be fired or made to live test the ridiculous process. Stop hiring children to do this. It literally took longer to get that dumb thing to work than the time it took to make my sub. I really appreciate the employee's kindness, patience, and support doing his best to get that thing to finally scan my QR Code. This is NOT their job! I am seriously considering simply sticking to FireSubs. I don't need to endure this frustration just to get a sub, and I can walk over to FireSubs instead of...

If I could give no stars I would. Food was ok. Service was adequate. We went close to closing but got our sandwiches and were sitting eating. We were a good ways through the meal and probably would have been done and left in less than 5 minutes after closing. Well 2 minutes to closing the server stated across the other end of store we had to leave. He was rude and no tact. I won't be going there anymore. I had taken my dad and friend to eat there.
