Phenomenal. Do not be discouraged, step up to the plate and order with confidence. We got the lobster Benedict (along with baked goods), and my oh my I could eat this everyday. Light yet filling. Saltiness and acidity is perfectly balanced, garnished with what I believe was tarragon(?), but for sure the touch of micro greens created euphoria—paired beautifully with the sweet succulent sweetness of fresh berries and melon. Palette pleasing. You ever eat something so delicious it gives you a body high? I don’t know how else to describe it, just go try it. I haven’t mentioned the quality scone selection or the flawless barista work by Martin. No foam, wet foam, latte, chai, it doesn’t matter, he is a master of his craft, express what you enjoy and it will instantly compete with the best you’ve had. Temperature control, quality of espresso, the timing of combining ingredients—you don’t see perfection often, if at all, but when Martin is the mixologist, you see, hear, and taste it done right. This is the best you will get so go get it. Quality technique, quality equipment, and quality ingredients, but the cherry on top? The exceptional customer service. Not over bearing but there when you need them. I really respect and appreciate this business and everything they represent. Keep doing what you’re doing! SB, don’t take what you have...
Read moreI was able to visit Jeannine's for breakfast and it is such a cute, cozy restaurant and bakery. I went twice in the week and both mornings I was able to walk in with only 1-2 people in front of me. The menus are at front for you to grab and while you make your way to the register you get to see their scones, cookies, pastries and other confections. You place your order at the register where they provide you with a number that you can take to your table of choice. The young girls behind the register were so sweet and polite and were very great at going over the menu options. I highly recommend the apple scone, lemon scone and the cherry scones; all 3 were magnificent. I was able to try the Florentine Benedict and the Santa Barbara Scramble with Avocado. I had tried the Florentine Benedict the first morning and I loved it so much I went back two days later. The Scramble was just as good and so was their fresh squeezed orange juice. If youre ever in the area or just driving by, visit this cozy establishment as it will...
Read moreI had the lobster benedict a few days ago and it was amaaaazing. There was a good amount of lobster, the egg was beautifully poached, and the sauce was not overpowering and not too heavy. The potatoes are a mix of yellow, blue and sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes are a nice touch. Never had that before mixed with regular potatoes and they were really good. This was served with a small bowl of fruit on the side.
The brandy apple french toast was also delicious. The bread is really soft. There is a lot of sauce... The bread is literally swimming in sauce... so I preferred to scrape most of the sauce off, but still enjoyed it very much with the apple pieces.
The lemon poppy seed pancakes were also good, and were served with fresh whipped cream and berry sauce.
I would recommend this place for brunch if you are in Santa Barbara. We stopped by on the drive from SoCal to NorCal (while taking the long scenic route) and it...
