Lion's Tale — Restaurant in Santa Barbara

Wonderful experience and really sorry we waited so long to give this restaurant and specialty cocktail bar a try.

Arrived as a party of four at 5:15 on a Sunday and Andrea, our host and barman was very accommodating by scooting two tables together, providing us very comfortable seating without feeling crowded. Although the menu for food items is currently a bit small, everything we tried out was excellent. Andrea explained they were planning in the next few weeks to add numerous new items. We had the lamb burger, the steak frittes, and a special tomato soup which was outstanding, served in it's own petit creuset accompanied with a delicious cheese crusted toast. Excellent !

Nice wine selection and we loved the Rose from France.

Andrea managed to do bar work for other customers, all the table waiting for us and several others with absolutely no delays. Pretty impressive service.

I had the chance to work in the restaurant but had to quit to work for HR Montecito just for change and opportunities to discover new things new vibes and keep moving forward . Really love this spot . So cool and really cheerful . The food is amazing , the atmosphere is cozy and wonderful . Great produce , great dedication and vibes. The servers are so nice and cheerful . The hotel staff are great . Love the gigs there and music . Cafe frites and steak frites are one of my favorite besides lamb burger that comes with red wine shallots that takes some love and dedication to make .i knew would miss it and already do . They had their grand opening yesterday and we were lucky enough to snag a cozy booth in the corner. My papa read about Lion’s Tale in the paper and he really wanted to try it for his birthday. They were very busy but each staff member made sure we were well taken care of, even Brandon the owner, came up and introduced himself to my papa! It was such a kind gesture and speaks highly to the hospitality that this bar has to offer. This is exactly the vibe and ambiance that Coast Village road needed!
