Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

Third & final time at this location. I came here because it is the closest Chipotle to me but I’ve learned my lesson and will drive further to the one on Golden Valley.

1st Visit- Burrito bowl was packed horribly and messy, small portions, brown guacamole and chewy chicken. I didn’t eat most of the chicken because wasn’t sure if it was fully cooked.

2nd Visit- Ordered $40 worth of chips, guacamole and corn salsa for a party. Most of the guacamole was brown and chips were stale.

3rd Visit- There was hardly any protein in the bins and were not replenished; I contemplated ordering the chicken in fear how long it has been sitting. I ordered 3 tacos. As the employee was placing chicken in the shells, all the chicken juice was just hovering over the shells. He wrapped it in foils and was struggling as they kept falling apart and wouldn’t stick together to wrap. I asked if he had the taco trays since it was to go. He looked at me, then around and said “we don’t have anymore, we’re told to do it this way”. I also ordered pico de gallo, a small guacamole and small chips on the side.

There was a fly flying around the food and dirty counters. Was not busy at all. 3 workers and no other customers.

I got home and all the juice from the chicken leaked through the bag and all over my car. Food was cold. All the tacos fell apart on the bottom. Pico de gallo was old and not fresh, you can taste it’s been sitting out. Guacamole was brown, again. And chips were stale with an insane amount of salt over 90% of the chips.

For being a very new location, this is the worst with low standards, cleanliness, and old...

I’ve been to this locations few times and man, they stink. It’s actually impressive how consistently bad they are. The food tasted old every time, not sure what they’re doing back there.. but I’ve never had a quality issue at the Golden Valley one. Secondly, the staff is operating at DMV efficiency. How do you have 5 employees back there, and only 1 person preparing food for customers? Not to mention they all look annoyed that you are ordering food. My guess is it’s a symptom of a bad owner or bad management. I would probably be in a bad mood too if I had a terrible owner/boss to work for. Anyways, I recommend Golden Valley unless you are okay with old chicken, brown guac, over-salted chips, and brown lettuce. Hopefully they get their act together, I would appreciate not having to drive far for some...

Was just in for a to-go order about an hour ago, and just wanted to say that the girl who was on the serving station did marvelous. This was the most beautifully wrapped and portioned burrito (even with the generous servings) I can remember in the last 15 or so years of going to Chipotle locations all over Cali. She took her time, but it showed in the best way ✨ 10/10. I haven’t been able to eat a half of one of these since I did sports in college, but this…how could I not? Perfect.

Glad to have a Chipotle on this side of town. Solid meal that covers most bases when you want a quick bite for those days that run late ~
