Master's Donuts — Restaurant in Santa Maria

First, I want to say the service is friendly and excellent. I give them 5 stars for that. The donuts , however, were average. The apple fritter (which you can use to judge any and all donut shops) was not good. Only a few pieces of apple and pretty oil-soaked. I was able to eat three bites before tossing it in the trash. The chocolate French crueler was ok and the cake donut, again nothing to write home about. I also tried the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. When we arrived we didn't see a whole lot of donuts. The owner said she had more in the back. I asked about apple fritters and she looked at her husband and he said 5 minutes, they were in the fryer. We waited patiently and boy was it worth it! One of them had broken so she gave us a sample...it was pure heaven. After grabbing an assortment and sampling them when we got home we realized why they didn't have a lot displayed...they sell out as soon as they are...

These are hands down the best donuts in town. If you get there early enough they have super cute and delicious donuts designed in house. This is a great place to take if you have kids if you want oreo donuts or animal circus cookie donuts. I had a pink leminade donut that had raspberry frosting and lemon jelly in the middle and it was so good.
