This is one of my favorite places but the service a time was terrible. I ordered online and was immediately called to let me know they had run out of what I ordered and offered to cancel my order or change it, so I changed it. They said they’d update the price difference which never did happen. I arrived at the establishment 20 minutes after my order was placed (which is the time that the text from them said I’d get my order). I was told that my order was not ready yet and so I took a seat right in front of the register area. After another 45 minutes. I was still waiting for my order. Other patrons were coming in for their orders and also made to wait. The whole purpose for ordering online was so I wouldn’t have to hang out in an establishment! So after I found myself too impatient to wait any longer, I stood up and asked the cashier if my food was ready yet. She asked my name and apparently it was ready as it was sitting right in front of the register ready to go. My name was never called and I had to wonder how much longer I would have sat there waiting if I hadn’t had asked again. They called 1 guy’s name 4 times (lol, I was so tempted to take that guys order!) So anyway, we get home, food is no longer warm, taste was not the same as it usually is, and the overall experience was just terrible. I’ll still be eating there again but hope that the establishment will update their ETA texts. I wouldn’t have minded waiting an hour for our food while I was at home, but sitting there in the restaurant for that long...
Read moreHumm let start with that the gal that took our order she was a sweetheart. I had garlic chicken that was not very garlicky. I love garlic and that didnt work for me but it was tender and tasted good. Teriyaki chicken was better well Charred. There was a 3rd chicken on this plate that i cant remember. The 2 dips were a bbq and some kind of orange looking mayo something or other. The chicken could have standed better to eat alone. The dips made everything taste like the dips. I love special sauces that i have had before and these cant compare. I had a garden salad and it was good. The ranch and sesame dressing were tasty. But man i wish i had better news cause, i so want to find a great Hawaiian BBQ place i could look forward to every week. We also.had two scoops of white rice and soy sauce was our choice to jazz it up. Sriracha and Tabasco sauce or salt and pepper were our other choices. So I'll keep looking for the good stuff i once had in Pismo that was shortlived. Years ago. The food was the bomb...but the organization was not good and the rent was probably sky high there on doliver. Ok guys....
Read moreI do not really write reviews but I am hoping by writing this one it can be used as a positive to possibly make improvements. We both had the Loco Moco. It wasn't horrible, but .... it appears and tastes like the hamburgers are frozen, no flavor and blah. The rice was a bunch of thick hard clumps, but if you use the gravy you can make them edible. The gravy was ok, my eggs ordered over medium were at best over easy. Because we had to wait so long, they were short a cook, we didn't want to reorder. I ate a few bites and threw it away. He ate most of his, and ended with a bite into something hard, unrecognizable. We may return to try again in hopes of not short staffed. It was quite busy, that's a good sign, maybe was just an off night. Anyway, like I said, I hope the owners just use these two cents as guidance for improvement. It may be simply that we are spoiled with real burgers, etc in our Loco Mocos on the...
