It was exactly what I wanted to taste! The sweet peanut flavor with a real good extra spicy added to it (Pad thai). I thought it was great. Everything here so far in what I have tried has been delicious! Next time I will give the curry a shot. If you want to try something different Baan Thai is definitely a good choice. If you don't know what to get, Pad Ke Mao would be a good choice for savory, and Pad Thai, for both savory and sweet. Love spicy? Go extra 😎 you will not regret it. Note: I'd like to add that the prices are a bit expensive. It was a $1 extra to get it "extra spicy" for each of our dishes which ended up being about $13 each for a total of about $28 with tax. I have not dined in, but the portions are well over a serving. They do not skimp out, I think its worth it. If you think that's too expensive, you must not like quality food. Just my opinion.

Food was AMAZINGLY delicious. Great portions. Great Service. Friendly staff. If you’re looking for authentic Thai your in the right place. Spicy 🌶 and authentic. Definitely coming back here again. The beef Thai salad, and the shrimp pineapple fried rice not shown in picture was the best I’ve had did I say “Fresh pineapple” … yummy. Tried the mango dessert because they were out of the banana desert. Great substitute by the waitress. Definitely coming back. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

First time eating here. I love Thai food, but I like flavorful hot (temperature hot) and spicy food. Baan Thai delivered on both. The Phad Thai was delicious and hot and the "on the side chili sauces were terrific! The Bangkok Rice was also delish. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also like the fact the food was served on disposable plates, cups and flatware! Sanitary is good these days! The server was be nice and attentive. Thumbs up here!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

This was my second visit to this AMAZING restaurant. I discovered it at my local car wash, as I sat and waited for my car to be hand dried I saw the sign for Baan Thai on the backside of their restaurant. I looked it up on Yelp and read the reviews, all positive. I called in my order and I asked many questions because it was my first visit. Sonya patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions without any haste in her tone. As I walked in to pick up my order I immediately noticed how clean it was. It is small but quaint, with the seating strategically placed to ensure it's clientele privacy. I ordered the 2 entree combo with Orange Chicken, Garlic Green bean with Chicken and half Bangkok Fried Rice and Chowmein. I then ordered a green tea and was told it'd be a Matcha green tea. Boy, was I in for a surprise! It was layered beautifully, creamy and so refreshing. Now on to the food, the Garlic Green bean with chicken was so tasty and fresh, the greenbeans had snap and the flattened bite sized chicken was perfectly seasoned. The Orange chicken was not too saucy nor soggy and the breading had a bit of crunch, delightful. The fried rice was not dry and super fresh as were the chowmein noodles. It was all amazing. My second visit was 3 days later with my friends, we all ordered 3 different items, each and everyone was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had Edamame, egg rolls, shrimp rolls, tofu curry, pad thai noodles with chicken, garlic green bean with chicken, orange chicken, Bangkok fried rice, shrimp chow mein and sticky rice with mango. It was a consensus, we all agreed that it was all delicious. My girlfriend's were grateful for the introduction. This is now one of our faves. Oh and the service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. We normally take photos of our food to share, but we were so excited to experience all the flavors that pictures did not enter our minds. Thank you Baan Thai for another wonderful dining experience. We'll...

We are first time customers we picked up an order to go. We started off with the small combos as a taste test before we committed to full on entrées. The small combos that we ordered were the perfect size for us, and were reasonably priced. The food was very good. Everything was tasty and fresh. Not all Thai food restaurants are the same so for us it’s been kind of difficult to find a Thai food restaurant local to Santa Maria that we really like and we’ll go back to. For us, the true test of a good Thai food restaurant is its yellow chicken curry. This curry was the perfect balance between sweet and spicy and I like the way they cut The carrots and the potatoes. The fried rice was fresh, and just the right amount of ingredients, tasty, and it was not dry. I was really surprised however, at the orange chicken I expected to get just some so so chicken nuggets that were may be kind of dry with a too tangy of a sauce but I was very pleasantly surprised that the chicken nuggets were fresh they were still tender. They weren’t tough or dry, and the seasoning for orange chicken was just right, very very tasty. The restaurant was immaculately clean, and the service was friendly and helpful. We’re so happy we...

This place has recently gone downhill.. we visited yesterday and ordered three meals; yellow curry, orange chicken, and spicy beef noodles. All three were absolutely terrible compared to anywhere else I've ever been.

First off, they served me curry in a plastic cup. An actual cup. Was given steamed rice on a small paper plate, and when I asked for a plplate I was given a paper one. I won't go into details about how insulting that is when I'm paying an average of $25 a meal to dine in. The curry was watery and terrible.

My daughters orange chicken and fried rice was prepared awfully. The rice was almost inedible and the chicken had 30% of the pieces consisting of no meat and just fried batter. Again, paper plates and insulting.

The spicy beef noodles were bland and overcooked. Not spicy and disappointing.

They make you walk up to order your food, not coming to you to take an order. Of course a tip is asked for upfront, before you realize how terrible the service and food is. They do not make any effort whatsoever to refill your drinks, and the drink dispenser is not accessible.

I'll never return here. Disappointing as I used to frequent...
