Great Food But we went on a saturday. We asked if they was going to have a buffet set up. The buffet wasn't set up but the waiter told us (a party of 4) that we could order it, you know that what they carried on a buffet. We gave him our order then we asked if drinks come with buffet. He said yes. So we ordered sodas each of us. The waiter came back and said we could only have these certain items.Oh and we already had our drinks drinking them and we were told they were not free. There was a manager that saw to it what we could have to eat. Huh Im confused I thought that was the customers choice but Ill move on. The food was great. Now back to a couple weeks before this incident. We went in there to sit down, check out the restaurant. Ordered sodas. The Owner was there. We saw the buffet trays and set up and asked him about it. He elaborated on the buffet. He told us it was a hit and miss on Satuday buffets but they would make the items that was on there buffet if thet were not doing buffet. THAT PLACE WAS ON OUR LIST TO EAT AT. Now back to the register. The Lady Mgr. started ringing up the order. My daughter complained right off about the free( no no they are not free with buffet). My daughter was courteous the mgr. said he (waiter) can't do that. Well she didnt meet us even halfway. Then there was the buffet issue. She said thats what we do. No apologies basically she had the attitude of this is the way we do it. WRONG Because of the way we were treated. I my wife, Daughter and Son WILL NOT spend our hard earned money in a eatery that treat us like that. I wasnt in anyway looking for any free stuff. We just wanted to find a place to relax. To the owner Get a Buffet Menu and hand it out to your patrons if you are not going to have the buffet set. That way no confusion. So now that place is on our list to not visit again. If the manager had made an effort even small to clear the matter. I would not be giving this review in a negative way. Im not a complainer but Dont say you do then you don't,...

Seated ourselves as the waiter pointed to a table. 7 minutes for a waitress to come to the table... no chips or salsa until our drinks finally came.

Waitress then asks on three separate occasions if I am still waiting on my margarita... A man I presume was an owner came up 15 MINUTES after the waitress took my margarita order asking for my ID and made the margarita. --apparently the waitress couldn't ask for ID or serve the drink? As I thanked him, he slammed the margarita down on the table.

Asked how many tacos come with the tacos de carne asada dinner, the waitress says, "three." I then asked they be made like a street taco with only cilantro and onion. My order was blatantly wrong having no onions and the cilantro cooked into the over cooked meat? Never in my life.... Not only were these tacos dishonored, I got shorted a taco and then asked if, "that was okay?" --Apparently this $11 dinner ACTUALLY comes with 2 tacos, rice and beans and is worth $11.......you tell me. I responded, "whatever you think is the right thing to do." She didn't visit the table again but to drop off the check...

Owner took $2 off my tab once I explained this to her. I asked if this $11 dinner does in fact only come with 2 tacos rice and beans and she hesitantly says, "yes" as if also confused at the price.

If you want good, Authentic Mexican food and good service.... DO...

Like other reviewers said our service was bad. We hadn’t even sat down and looked at a menu and waitress gruffly asked what we wanted to drink. When she did deliver my drink she had her hand all over the rim. Good thing I use a straw I guess. Same with food order, she didn’t ask if we were ready just started taking orders. Some of the food on the menu has quirky names with no descriptions so no clue what it is and the waitress is in such a hurry didnt even try to ask. I finally decided to get steak fajitas because one review said they were great. Wrong! Steak was beyond charred! Chips and salsa were super basic. My husband loves nachos and said they were the worst he’s had. Daughter said chicken in her enchilada was over cooked to the point of poking her. Then the facility... it’s July but dusty Christmas decorations were everywhere. Apparently the men’s room was barely functioning and had what looked to be rat droppings behind the toilet. I’m not sure why Sapulpan’s like this place so much but I do not recommend...

8/29/24 at noon. We had difficulty finding the front door because there are 3. Inside we were immediately greeted and seated. They have recently expanded and remodeled and continue to make changes. Complimentary chips and salsa, a bit spicier than average. Tried salsa verde but too hot for me. We liked the taco salads. A little different - not spicy, no grease. The ground beef has a bit of crema (sour cream-ish). They offered several salad dressings but I put salsa on mine. I ordered small and husband got large. They looked almost the same but his was taller. We looked at the buffet but decided it was too much hearty food for our appetites. It is a great idea for hungry men with limited time for lunch. The dining room is large and clean and remarkably quiet. Owner stopped by to chat and made us feel welcome and appreciated. We'll be back to try some of the daily specials. It was good (Tex Mex style), the place was clean and service was also good, the first time I went by myself. Only 2 tables occupied. Half an hour altogether for the stay. Since then I went 2 more times. Food was still good, but the service was terrible. It takes forever, even when only few people are there. We were there over an hour the second time (2 people). The third time besides the long waiting time again (an hour for the whole visit-2 people), the young waitress was not paying attention at all. Gave us one bill even though we said separate bills. Didn't bring food container as asked. Another waitress had to straighten it all up and finish it. My friends do not want to come again. Me, only if come early and alone, and if I have time.

What a delightful place! We went for lunch today and the food is fantastic! Don't eat to many chip and salsa, cause you're going to have to save room for all the food that's coming. I had the combo, beans, rice tamale and two enchiladas.... I should have ordered the small portion.... This is not a Tex-Mex eatery, this is WONDERFUL MEXICAN FOOD! The tamale was the best I have ever had. The outer masa was evenly done in wrapping, so each night was perfect. The beans were amazing....no can stuff. I enjoyed the chicken enchiladas as well as the rice. It was all perfect! Great service, lovely setting, a family friendly place. We will be back...
