Decided to give this place a try when I noticed it was open. Pulled up to the menu board, noticed 2 things, all hard serve ice cream and steep prices for the hot food(didn't look at the ice cream prices since I have no interest in it). I figured I would still give it a shot just to be able to know if it would be worth subsequent visits. First thing, I absolutely love cheese curds and I always order them at least once from establishments that I haven't had them at before. The cheese curds I received were good, a slight rubbery chew, and seriously overpriced. The container I received was not even completely filled and for $8, I will not be ordering them again and I wouldn't recommend them either at their current price. The fries were bland, unsalted, and we're comparable to regular grocery store fries from the freezer. Not much to say about the mini corn dogs kids meal, except that it's the only kids meal offered. The chicken tenders were average, typical tenders, though, they did have a fishy aftertaste. The philly cheese steak meat was dry, overcooked, and didn't really fill the bread; which is a bummer since it's the most expensive meal on the menu. The 2/3lb burger was pretty decent, moist, salt/peppered nicely; it tasted like a frozen patty that was thawed overnight before being cooked. The downside of the burger is that 2/3 to 3/4 through it, a string or fiber of some sort was in between the two patties. Definitely an appetite killer, but luckily it wasn't someone's hair. String pictured on the...
Read moreI drove all the way from Alexandria because a friend recommended I try the Philly cheesesteak here. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing, and I left feeling like I wasted both my time and money.
Being from Pennsylvania, I know exactly what a true Philly cheesesteak should taste like. The one I was served here simply did not measure up in any way. The meat tasted low quality, the ingredients felt cheap, and the overall flavor was bland and uninspired. It lacked the authenticity, freshness, and balance of flavor that a real Philly is known for. To make matters worse, the sandwich was overpriced for what was served. Paying a premium price for something that clearly cut corners in both quality and preparation is frustrating.
To the owner: if you’re going to advertise and sell a Philly cheesesteak, it’s important to respect the dish and do it right. That means using quality meat, fresh ingredients, and preparing it with care. Customers who order a Philly expect a certain standard, and what I received fell far below that expectation.
I wanted to enjoy my meal, but I left disappointed and unsatisfied. My honest suggestion is to take customer feedback seriously and improve the recipe. Invest in better quality ingredients, learn the proper way to prepare a Philly, and make sure the sandwich is worthy of its name. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic...
Read moreI went here today with my sister and our kids. I went up and ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo and chicken strips. After I ordered that, I remembered I wanted onions on the side because my sister and I were splitting the food and she is highly allergic to onions. They proceeded to ignore my request to put it on the side and put it on the burger. I asked for them to remake it and they denied to do so. So my sister then went up and asked for them to remake the burger so they did after an argument insued. She asked them to remake the fries as well because they were touching the burger and they told her that it was her fault for some reason about the allergy she has and proceeded to argue and say she needed to pay for the new fries if she wanted new fries. On their napkin display it clearly states that they respect food allergies and will make food per request. They made a big deal over a small issue. I won’t and neither will my sister be eating here ever again. The customer service is absolutely horrendous and they don’t care at all. Plus it’s almost $8 for 3 chicken strips. Absolutely an outrageous price. For that price they should be coated in freaking gold, but alas they are only...
