Happy China II — Restaurant in Savannah

Food is normally average and passable, order once a month from this place, it's cheap and isnt anything to write home about but when you're hankering for some General Tso's it hits the spot.

Tonight though, I dont know what happened, hardly any sauce on the chicken, chicken was unchewable, like it had been microwaved several times. Fries and egg rolls soggy. All in all inedible. First time we've ever had a problem so called up.

The manager came on the phone and wouldnt do anything unless we drove the food all the way to them, and it was uneaten... They didnt care, told them they're getting a charge back and pictures of their sorry excuse for food, which actually to is probably a luxury back home thanks to their Chinese Communisy Part. As a local guide I'll be adding the pictures of this sorry excuse of a meal to their official photos.

I'd avoid this place if you're looking forward to the meal, plenty of places downtown you can get a great...

Delivery is awful. Took 2+ hours for food to be delivered to my apartment. Granted, I accidentally gave the wrong address, however, I called and corrected my address, gave directions on how to get there, and gave landmarks that were around me, and the delivery driver was very incompetent. He did not know where anything was in the city, and he had me walk in the pouring rain to meet him, because he did not know where I was. (I was on BROUGHTON street. The easiest street to find in Savannah.) The food was not great either. It was fine, but out of all the chinese places I've eaten at, was probably the worst one. The food was cold when arrived, and the restaurant was closed by the time we got our food, so we couldn't even call to complain about the terrible service. (FYI: Ordered the food at 8pm, and the food didn't arrive...

Alright so after this spicy beef lo mein I'm giving them 5-Stars for that dish but overall 4 for everything combined.

I've had lo mein in Savannah and the South way more than a few times and was disappointed almost every time. But, whoever was on the wok 1.8.2023 and made this order around 7 maybe 7:15 you are amazing. The beef was tender and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, the seasoning of the sauce was the best I've probably ever had and they hit the spice level right on the nose!!

Everything else I can do without, but this will be my go to dish with a side of spring rolls from...
