I walked out of there spending over $55. I was very disappointed in the taste and amount of food they served me. The oxtails were tough, tastless and over priced. The oxtails costed me $22 for 4 thin slices and a load of gravy. The turkey wings are cut in half, so I got 3 pieces and a tip with so much grave that it turned my rice into soup. They tasted like raw meat with salt and a touch of accent flavor enhancer or something. They served me 2 candied yams as a side, and a half a spoon of cabbage for the other side. The beef and chicken patties were dry and tasted like spoiled bread. My family is from the Islands and I also owned a Soul Food and Caribbean Restaurant in the past. Take it from someone who knows, The food is far from being Caribbean, poorly prepared, and it is Outrageously Overrated and Over-Priced!

My review was not a personal attack, it was my personal experience after visiting your restaurant. That was my last day there, why would you think that I would waste my time or money at your restaurant again? Your response is misleading and typical of a business owner who has no regard for your customers opinion or intention of growth. I’m not the type of person to leave bad reviews because I want everyone’s business to strive. This is my opinion so you can try it for yourself. I’ve never had kreole food before let me start by saying that. But since it said soul food with a Caribbean twist my expectations were that it would taste similar to Jamaican food. I’ve had Jamaican food from multiple places and it was phenomenal. The patty at this place was good it was well seasoned and crispy; we got the spicy and curry patty. The coco bread was fresh and slightly burnt, it did not have that sweetness to it as coco bread should. The rice and peas was not seasoned well it was flavorless, even if it had some flavor it was covered in the gravy the rice grains were swimming. The oxtail was not tender and the flavor was off. The cabbage was not good either virtually no season. My husband got the curry chicken, same as the oxtail the flavor was off. The yams were okay according to my husband. As with previous reviews the portion was small for the price. If I do go back the only thing I’m ordering...

1st experience everything was great. Food(chicken Curry rice and turkey wings) was on point. My second time my food preparer was a Lil discombobulated. I asked if I got crab rice on the side would it still be 2.50. She said yes and then billed me 7.00$ I asked why and she said because I got a side of rice. I said no I asked you could I get it off to the side so no oxtail gravy would be on my rice. She said it only that was if you got the 2 sides. She removed the Mac and cheese off my plate and put in back in the serving dish. I felt that was cross contamination but let her remove it from my plate after yams and oxtail gravy was on the Mac and cheese so please advise if you get someone order wrong take the loss don't put it back in the serving pan to give someone else who may not want oxtail gravy or sweet yams touching there Mac and cheese.
