El Rancho Grande II — Restaurant in Savoy

It took a few chances for me to write this review. Every visit the service and competency of the staff to fulfill an order correctly diminished. My last straw was today when I went to pick up an order the manager said he would re-make for me correctly since my previous order was not. I called to have them make the order. The person they had answering the phones had an attitude and was asking me who I spoke to and refusing to make the order. She said she was going to call the managers to confirm and call me back. I waited for half a our for a call back. At that point I went into my appointment. They called 40 minutes later. The first time I could not answer as I was in an appt. The next time they called about 40 minutes after that I answered since we were wrapping up. She said my food is ready. I told here I was not ready to come pick it up and would call back when I would like it made. I called when I was free to come get the meal. The same lady with an attitude answered and said ok. When I came to pick it up they had me check it. They did not make the meal how it should be made as to make it clear the item that was missing the 1st time (potatoes) was seen. That would not have been a problem, however I noticed they were quite soggy. They gave me food that was made almost 2 hours prior! When I asked him to remake it he said, "No, I will not, I'm not going to waste my food. " I let him know that there was no reason for anyone to have made the meal until they spoke with me. He said they made it when I called. How, when someone had to call and verify and then call me back? This business was extremely unprofessional and unwilling to take accountability for their mistakes. have had several good experiences at this place. on this occasion, it was a monday evening and i wanting to find a place to sit and crochet while watching a hockey playoff game. the staff is always really friendly and attentive, though I did feel a little rushed as i kept explaining i wanted to stay for a couple hours but would order during that time and tip enough to justify not turning the table over. food is incredibly fast, burrito loco was really flavorful, margarita special rocked. and as i sat there loitering i couldn’t help but notice the two tables of people just next to me. they were there, already finished with their checks when i arrived, and still there two hours later, needing refills and being loud and you know, i kinda understand why they nudge you a little, as i watched booths around me turn over three-four times. it was kinda obnoxious, but then again, so am i 🤷‍♀️

Went inside the person who sat my fiancé and I seemed to have an attitude. We then sat and waited a total of 15 mins. While waiting me and a waitress made eye contact a few times. I then noticed a total a THREE waitresses sat down RIGHT BEHIND US and started to do silverware. Still no one greeted us, offered us water or anything. My fiancé got the lady who sat us at our table attention and told her no one has came to take our order and she simply walked off. No acknowledgement of what he said. Keep in mind it wasn’t busy at all. Everyone there had their food already. There was simply no excuse to have waited for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement at all.
