I Wok Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Savoy

I went there for lunch at around 12 noon. The place is clean and tidy. I can see though the kitchen. It’s clean, too. I ordered 2 lunch special $6.50 each which included an egg roll. The food is fresh and the people there are very friendly. Since the place is clean, I feel comfortable to eat there. They have water and cup there and plenty of napkins for you to pickup. I like they use fresh veggies (fresh button mushroom and scallion) in my Mongolian beef and my son said their Lomein is fresh, too. While I was eating there. There were lots of people keep coming. If you want quick food this is your place but it's so quick I guess they missed the flavor I've ordered from multiple Chinese places around the area and this place is by far the most bland 1.) I got lo mein I don't understand how you could make such a dish taste like nothing best way I can describe it is cheap taste like Roman noodle but before the reasoning. 2.) Got general tso's and it was dry with hardly any sauce. Got the crab ragoon it's like they put just a little to save profit you get mainly breading .also the dumplings don't taste home made . Visited this resturant on a Sunday evening 4-24-2022, The inside seemed very clean and the people working seemed friendly. Was kind of questioning why a child was inside the kitchen area doing homework, but hey, gotta stay grinding somehow. I had called in a order of steamed dumplings, large hot and sour soup,and General Tso's chicken and shrimp. The only reason I gave this rating of two starts vs one star was because the steamed dumplings were actaully pretty good. The hot and sour soup, and General's Tso's were horrible.
