My family and I were in town for my dad's surgery at Robert Packer hospital, and needed a decent local place to have dinner together while he recovered. After going back & forth between a few options that didn't necessarily appeal to everyone we decided to try The Grille based on the reviews, menu & location. I'm thrilled to report that we were all absolutely blown away by this place! This is the kind of restaurant you want every dining out experience to be like, and the kind you dream about having again. The wait was pretty long. About a half an hour, but it was totally understandable as they were packed with a line out the door. Normally, I wouldn't add myself to that siuation. But being from out of town, and taking the business as a good sign, we stuck it out and were all incredibly glad we did. The interaction with the host was great. He was friendly, and checked in with us multiple times, keeping our status updated. Once seated, the server was also very friendly, personable, prompt, and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, and unique. Cooked with care. My crab pasta could've been hotter, but it's a minor nitpick. We ate our dishes mostly family style, and were all happy with each choice. Overall it was just a beautiful family dinner in the midst of a scary situation made better by this fantastic restaurant. Can't wait to drive down to Sayre again just to come to The Grille.

We've been fortunate to be on a good luck streak lately when it comes to finding good places to dine. The latest- the Grille. This old train depot is fabulous. I tried a sample platter. Picked sweet onion rings, fried dill pickles and fried sweet banana peppers with fries being my 3rd choice. My better half Mary Ellen went with haddock and mac and cheese. We swapped forkfuls ( extremely generous portions) and everything was unbelievably delicious. Food can be delicious but my coffee has to be also. IT WAS!!! Nice and smooth and our waitress Amber kept our cups filled to the brim. Look, I'm telling you. Great service entering to exiting, excellent food with major size portions, excellent coffee, nice atmosphere, and sitting in an old train depot( that's our host finding us a seat in picture (surprise!) just made our day. Amber, thank you for serving us on this day! (Psst) secret. Shhh. Found out after eating that Amber is general manager there too. 10 stars out of 5!!!! Back soon with friends.

I have never in my life seen such a gash endeavor. Want some ridiculous way to waste your money for desperate trash. Eat here. They have ZERO food that is actually desirable. The prices are UNREAL. AND THEY ARE THE VERY MOST CLASSLESS FAMILY I HAVE EVER SEEN IN BUSINESS. But the baseline facts are if you think the food is quality, that means you have a trash appetite as far as cuisine goes, if you didn't know that, go here and spend A TON of money on the most basic entrees that the food vendors supplies. Be well. Literally the Olive Garden, whose entire menu is freezer food is 3x as appetizing as anything in there and substantially less costly. Plus the owner smells like a musty old priest from 2 feet away...don't really know what that means but how it could be good is away from me

My wife and I stopped in at 6 pm Sunday night. My wife was dressed nice but my yellow shirt was dirty from working. We walked in through the bar. Waited as no one had a interest in seating us. We sat ourselves. Sat there for 15 minutes while all three of the wait staff messed around with, and at the kiosk station and/or walked passed us. After 15 minutes and trying to make eye contact with a wait staff, I decided the only way for someone to talk to us was to walked up the the front desk and asked for help? Assistance? Information? Or maybe we should just leave as they just were not that busy and had no desire to make us feel welcome? I talked with the guy whom just got off the phone and was told he didn't see us come in. I went and sat down and it took another 5 minutes for a wait staff to ask us for drinks? We actually had to ask for a menu! I was unhappy with the service and ask for a manager The manager came to the table and express how we were treated. He took our order and never asked us if they could grill our wings. When we finished our first sodas the manager came over to refill our sodas. I asked if they still grilled the chicken wings? He said they did. We asked for the grilled option at this time. We got the food and its was not noteworthy. My wife asked to switch her drink from one soda delivered in a glass full of ice and soda!! This time she was given a bottle of orange Crush. NO ice! No glass!! We finished our food and waited for another 15 minutes for another staff member to give us our check. Maybe because they wait staff was all under 25 years old. Maybe because my wife is not white?? I can tell you they went out of there way to make us feel like we were not family. We will not go back there ever again even if we were offered free food or coupon's?? I remember when the bar was in the dinning room. Good food! Good staff!!! Happy memories!!! Never again!! I have never left bad feed back on any restaurant before. But the GRILL went out of there way to make us...

This was absolutely the worst food I have ever been served, also my wife said the same. I don't easily leave a 1 star review, but they get that high score just because their servers were on point. Totally, the worst food I have ever been served. The servers were great and we did not complain to them about the quality of the food they served - but we did make them clear all of our dishes barely touched - that bad. To start with - my draft beer was FLAT. My dinner salad tasted rancid, not sure if it was the dressing or the the mixed salad that was rancid. 2 bites and I set it aside to take away. My wife's soup was the shrimp and corn chowder, ZERO shrimp found, but there was a piece of chicken. Too spicy and no shrimp, set aside to take back. She ordered a half portion of salad for her entrée and she only took a bite or two before deciding she was not going to eat it, the hard boiled egg had green yolks (overcooked) and the rest of her salad also tasted not fresh. My entrée was a simple spaghetti that was tough and chewy and the chicken was sliced very thinly like it was lunch meat -- very dry and underwhelming too - I pushed the chicken aside after tasting it. There were some pieces in my dish that I wasn't even sure if it was chicken or not (yes, that bad). We paid our bill and left - We will never return here again. They do not have even the basics of cooking down. Soup, salad and spaghetti, they totally got that wrong. Food this bad is not worth sending back because the chef and OWNER obviously has NO clue what is coming out of the kitchen. We just paid our bill and left, never, EVER, to...

If I could give this place no stars, it would have gotten no stars. I used to come here all the time when it was the Original Italian Grill. I loved the food and service then. Since who ever owns it now took it over, I honestly don't know how it's still in business. When it first changed over I went there I ordered a steak Stromboli the plate was loaded with grease it was disgusting I refused to eat it. Since that experience I stuck to only ordering burgers which aren't bad but you can order a decent burger many places in town. Went there right after the reopening after covid my husband and I both ordered the 14oz steak which was very small for a 14oz and poor quality cut of steak for the price. We both Ordered it well done, it was served burnt way over well done it was like chewing shoe leather. Was there this past Friday night, my husband ordered the steak again it came back to him burnt could only eat half of it tough as hell and I decided to give the steak Stromboli another try, BIG MISTAKE again it was greasy I couldn't even eat it. I'm sorry but if it's that greasy and you know that it is obviously how your making it is the wrong way. My husband also decided to try the blackened alligator (WAY OVER PRICED) for what you get. Even after they took the steak Stromboli off the bill the steak should have also been taken off the bill but he just wanted the bill and get out of there it was still over 60$ for food that wasn't even worth the price VERY disappointed. We will never go there again. We were only there because yannuzzis were closed but if I want a good steak Stromboli I...
