Parlin Bagels and Grill — Restaurant in Sayreville

So today was my first time trying this bagel shop. I didn’t even know this place existed and I’ve been living in south amboy since 2017. Happy to try to place close to home was immediately disappointed within my first 2 min in the store. The girl behind the counter seemed annoyed to be there. As the annoyed girl was making my egg sandwich, I started to look in the refrigerator where they keep cold cuts, macaroni salad etc it was filthy.I wanted macaroni salad but I WAS NOT eating anything out of that refrigerator. I started looking around the work station the counters and floors I almost ran out of there. I don’t know who the owner is of this place. But really? Do you have any pride in your business? We've only been here once so far so can't really speak on all the negative reviews. We ordered a Michael J Fox sandwich, cream cheese bagel, and coffee. Would have liked a choice of chips with the sandwich as I do not like Fritos. The sandwich was full of meat and very good. Bagel was hard, but the cream cheese was good . Service was friendly . Unfortunately the coffee is probably the worst I've ever had, very strong and muddy. Burnt tasting. Oh well. Definitely looking forward to trying them again. One major downside is it's HOT in there. Would not be able to sit and enjoy a meal. No air conditioning and it's 90 degrees out. So definitely suggest taking...

I would give NEGATIVE ratings if i could. Here is the reason, I get breakfast from this place more than 3 times in a week from last 6 months, i never ever had problems before but from last 1 month after the staffed has changed this place become worst bagel place i have ever visited. I ordered 3 same sandwiches all the times and i used to pay around $11. But from last 3 times i have paid $13, $16, $15 for the same exact ordered. Today the girl charged me $18 and when i asked her why the prices are different every time for the same exact order, and she replied" It depends on who is on register". I was like you gotta be kidding me. NEVER...
