Riffy's Kitchen — Restaurant in Sayreville

Today went to riffys kitchen for tun bun kabab and I’m extremely disappointed. When I reached there , the uncle who was there (seems to be the owner of the shop) looked very unprofessional and told me that he doesn’t even know where the patty is kept.

He somehow managed to find it out and told me that he doesn’t know because the wife and the kid went to their house as they have their sisters as guests which seems to be very unprofessional from the viewpoint of a customer bcs then it’s better to close the shop when he doesn’t know how to manage things on his own.

He was really clueless on how to make the item and since I had already paid, I didn’t have another option. Atlast the outcome was very horrible with very dry buns and then a big Piece of tomato almost equalling to quarter of a whole tomato and with no proper sauce ratio at all making it even worst for already dry item.

If possible I would have given a negative star in google especially after tasting their Kabsa which was just coloured basmati rice with charcoal chicken during Ramzan. Still thought of giving a try to restaurant and it made my experience even worse.

Atleast try to maintain the quality of the product and food or else I feel it’s better to keep the restaurant closed for the day due to family reason rather than serving poor...

I got food delivered with uber eats from riffy kitchen. I ordered samosas, chat and gol gappy. All items were extra spicy which wasn't mentioned on their website. The chaat had a very sparce amount of yougurt and no fresh items like potatoes or tomatoes etc. It had nimko and chickpeas with some lettuce all mixed with so much spice that it was inedible. the samosas can be best described as store bought frozen ones fried till they were the color of chocolate!!..... extremely disappointed! I wish chaiy chenak or some other good resturaunt delivered to my area....do not recommend.....

Update after review reply: the gol gappy were full of spicy nimko inside them and topped with a lot of spicy powder. And i did leave instructions when i placed the order through uber. I donot believe me visiting personally would change your practice of cutting corners and putting store bought items and no fresh ones as they should have been. Id rather spend my time, gas and money at a place where I know they put effort into the food...

Dropped by this place on a whim with my mother. We were greeted by a very welcoming atmosphere, and by two very nice gentlemen. The cook was very nice to us and checked up on us multiple times to make sure we loved the food. We were offered free samples of their Mint Lemonade which was made fresh. Their mint lemonade is stellar and worth the price they charge. The food was made fresh and in a timely manner, and tasted absolutely delightful. The Pita bread was very soft and nice. Their mixed vegetables side was bursting with delicious flavor. My mother got the Cod fish platter and fell in love at first bite. I had the Gyro platter and there was so much food it was overwhelming! But it too was amazing with every bite. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It's welcoming, inviting, and the food...
