Would not recommend to go here. Would give zero stars possibly if they let me to give
Worst customer service. Called in to give order ahead over the phone so it is ready when i get there but every time i call they have given excuses about not taking orders over the phone while i have seen them taking orders over the phone. Still tried to call in as had some emergency and was trying to get the food ready before i get there and had put the phone on side saying will take the order in one minute and then hangs up the phone after waiting 5+ minutes and when calling back says they can’t take orders over the phone which literally after i got there he took order over the phone from some other person right in front of me. Beyond that when i placed my order over in person for pick up mentioning that have to get back as soon as I can thought he might rush the order instead delayed almost hour to get my order and still i left without getting my full order still says like give two minutes it will be ready which their 1/2/10 minutes never happens. People placing orders after me was given their orders before me and made me wait purposely as i said the truth about their service
Also when i asked is the owner or manager here and goes no they’re not then one of the smart person comes out and gives me excuse that they only started taking orders over the phone like month ago which they don’t take. And then tells me to order over the goggle.
Also their menu is not fully ready even though they have it on screen but not all items are available. For my yesterdays order i left without getting one of my item which was not ready but also the order they said was ready was not complete had pav bhaji but there was no buns given. They not even offered the refund which i didn’t wanted but when tried calling back to inform about missing item too then wasn’t able to connect seems to be blocking the number or disconnecting the phone .
And now as i have seen other reviews they will just say as formality will take care of this and reach out to them and was a busy day and other same excuses just to show in public so they look nice but in reality they don’t do anything
Update:- As their response they don’t accept orders over the phone on weekends after I reached their i have seen the guy at register taking order over the phone and also the person picked up while i was they by paying when coming to pick up. Should have recorded but as a courtesy of expecting getting my order quicker after explaining the situation didn’t do anything but i guess i should have .
I already asked up there to reached out to discuss in person but your employee and one of your owners disrespected and disregarded the request for contacting. Even though he was there atleast he should have helped out taking phone orders rather than leaving or hanging outside. You wanna reach out via email so that goes to trash as usual and you can say people that solved through email . Thanks but no thanks i will take the business somewhere else.

Read moreLook great spot, not ready to open. It’s street food, train staff better. Great addition but I promise you, you’ll be eaten alive if y don’t improve management. With proper managment you give a chance for community members to support you and reccomened the place to their friends. For me what I have to tell them? Food is good but you wait 1 hour? First start with music in the place. Change the seating arrangement, optimize space, slimmer chairs. Chairs look like they from hotel. I only care to leave review this long because this place has so much potential. Staff need to be more professional. Cashier shouldn’t interrupt order and talk to staff. Staff shouldn’t be interrupting customers to order. Don’t open if you can’t handle the people. Nothing wrong in that just wait. Take some time to train them. All duties overlap and it doesn’t work. Staff has no idea what order is who’s and when. We got asked 3 times if this was our order. What if I took it and the waiting customers never got their food. Considering the people they would have to wait another 1 hour. Customers don’t feel welcome and don’t feel wanted. Start with better atmosphere then better trained staff, more professional, set more rules on them. In the kitchen seemed too bulky. Too many people doing nothing just waiting to find task. I hope to give resturant time and try again and change review. Listen advice to all Indian restaurants
INDIAN RESTAURANTS LACK MANAGEMENT. proper management goes a long way, and makes your restaurant MUCH better. Half the time at Indian restaurants you go you don’t even feel that SWAGAT you look for that people are coming for. Invest in some extra effort to make customer welcome and spend some time with operational manager and this is the place.
PS : better management makes food taste better too, waiting and dirty tables and crowd and no music and all that stuff makes the food underwhelming before it’s even out
Hope you take this seriously lol just want a...
Read moreJay Bhavani in Illinois is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience that transports you straight to the bustling streets of India, where flavors come alive and every bite is a celebration.
The Story Begins: As I walked into Jay Bhavani, the vibrant chatter of diners and the aroma of sizzling spices welcomed me like an old friend. The walls radiated nostalgia, adorned with snapshots of India’s street food culture, making it feel like I had stumbled into a culinary time capsule.
The Pani Puri Adventure: The first stop on this flavorful journey was the pani puri. A plate of glistening golden puris was brought to the table alongside chilled, tangy tamarind water, spicy mint chutney, and a medley of fillings. It was a DIY experience: I filled the crispy puris with spiced potatoes, chickpeas, and chutneys, and then dunked them into the tangy pani. The explosion of flavors in my mouth was indescribable—sweet, spicy, tangy, and cooling all at once. It was as if the puris were tiny fireworks, igniting a festival of taste with every bite.
The Garlic Cheese Sandwich Masterpiece: Next came the famed garlic cheese sandwich, a dish that felt like the fusion of street food simplicity and indulgent comfort. Imagine thick, buttery slices of bread grilled to perfection, stuffed with a melty trio of cheeses and infused with the bold flavor of garlic. Each bite was decadently gooey, with the garlic adding just the right amount of kick to balance the richness. It was the kind of sandwich that hugs your soul and leaves you craving for more.
The Verdict: Jay Bhavani doesn’t just serve food—it tells stories of tradition, innovation, and flavor. The pani puri is an adventure for your senses, while the garlic cheese sandwich is a comforting indulgence you didn’t know you needed. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic street food with a dash of magic.
