Carmen took my order over the phone. She seemed nice enough but aloof. I asked her if there were any specials as this was my first time ordering at Pops. She told me no but some should be forthcoming and to watch out for them. I also told her that Pops came highly recommended and she assured me that the recommendation was with merit. I got there and parked and went through three different doors until I found the correct one. I walk in and Carmen is on her cell phone. I told her that I parked at the other end not knowing there were a few entrances, she apologized and said I guess I should've told you that huh? She didn't seem focused but I let it go. I ordered the 24 piece, lemon pepper wings and a large pizza, $61.72! So when I got back home to finish my paper and to feed three hungry boys imagine my dismay and theirs when the order was wrong. It was, they took a short cut wrong. Apparently they gave me my fresh out of the grease wings in white Styrofoam containers. The styroam had melted onto the wings. You could smell it. Also, I learned that they are supposed to be in an aluminum container. The temperature in both containers were different which made me think that someone else ordered them, didn't pick them up and they passed them on to me. Next some of the wings were lemon pepper but the larger portion were just plain and I was given a small container of ranch. When I phoned back and told them as such, Carmen kept apologizing in the same way she did when she neglected to tell me about the right door--aloof, insincere and unfocused. I work hard and my time is valuable. This was just very inconsiderate. Yes they made it right but only after they were knowingly wrong. Carmen was on her phone when I walked in again, her apology wasn't sincere and while she promised that she'd get a manager and credit my account for the inconvenience, nothing was done. She gave me the right amount of condiments and said that she realized she hadn't given me the right amount for the pieces I ordered. Great first experience! Read moreIf I could give it zero stars, I would. Went there Saturday 9/29 at 4:50 pm to have a family meal as we used to enjoy at Pop's. We told the hostess we needed a table for 7 including one high chair. She said they only had high top tables available. We looked over to our right. All the lower tables were empty. She said that section was closed. Further back I could see there were low tables set up for a party, but the section in front was just as big as that section or bigger. It was totally empty. Nice way to turn away former customers Pop's..... We waited (along with everyone else) a long time for you to re-open. You obviously didn't care about your customers while your business was closed. You never updated your website with current info, you missed several projected re-opening dates without any updates for loyal customers. Loyal customers who waited for your re-opening.... to be treated without any courtesy, by your hostess who didn't want to seat us. She didn't offer an apology, or a low table would be available in 20 minutes etc. It as clear we were not welcomed. Have you ever put a highchair at a high top table? Come on... One more disappointment I have to mention. We really liked the quiet dining room away from the noisy bar. Now, it's all noisy bar, no quiet dining option. All one big, loud room. Read moreNice place with decent bar & outdoor seating. However the service is just very poor. We came back twice hoping the second time around would be a better experience but it was actually worst. The first time we were there it took them literally 30 mins to even have a server come up to us. The waitresses have made eye contact with us each time they passed by and not one even bothered to ask us if we have been served. Even after going back n forth to the bar asking for a menu, after the 3rd try I finally just asked for menus myself. After 30 mins of going back n forth I just ended up calling them from my cell phone asking if we can please get serviced. The manager himself came to our table and apologized & said that first drink is on them. We should have known that it wasn’t true because when we got our bill, we were charged for the first drink. The 2nd time around same thing happened, slow service and it wasn’t even busy. The servers were just talking amongst themselves at the bar. My father in law finally had to say something. The waitress that helped us had her hair down and when she served us our food we had hair on our food, but we didn’t complain not once. I did however asked for my margarita to be made again because it was just really sour the second time she brought it back it was even more sour. So I just ended up not even bothering drinking my drink.
