As a rule if I don't have something nice to say I won't say anything, well I'm breaking that rule tonight. I will say that the people working at this eatery were nice. I don't know if I came on a bad day ? The "atmosphere" was plain, very small with a few little metal tables and chairs all lined up right next to each other on one wall. The reason I comment on this is because in the reviews (I'm convinced we're written by friends or family) it went on about the cultural atmosphere with Hawaiian music in the background. I heard no music. The dessert display box was empty save the one lone pie that they would only sell by the slice at $8.00 a slice. The meal was expensive enough but before you could continue with payment you first had to choose a tip amount. I may be old school but I base a tip on server performance. It's also way over priced for a huge pile of bland rice with a few strips of meat on top. I hope for those of you who haven't tried it that they were just...
Read moreAfter my son's basketball practice in the Schertz Civic Center next door we were looking for something we haven't tried. We saw it passing and I looked it up on Google and saw the good reviews. So wet went there to give it a try. Open lights were still on sign on the door said Open. I never looked at the hours but didn't think anything of it. Some younger looking asain lady comes walking from the kitchen and walks right by us without any recognition that we were standing right there. She proceeds to the front of the store where she unplugged the sign and flipped the door sign to closed. Then again without saying a word to us walks by us again to go behind the counter. We realize this meant they were closed as we did go there right at 8pm. It wouldn't have been an issue is there was any kind of politeness from the staff here to let us know they were closing. The rudeness of the staff here means they get a low score from me and we won't be trying this place out ever. We're actually big food spenders and love trying new places, if only they knew or cared. Good thing money is easy to make...
