Tri-City Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Schofield

Was really hoping for it to be good according to reviews, so I did a pick up order. I don't know if it was just a bad day and slow or what, but my food was pretty terrible. I ordered the pancake combo, with over easy eggs. What I got was one completely over hard egg, and one over medium close to over hard, not even close to easy. The pancakes were so thin I was kind of dumbfounded, the batter seemed to possibly be way too watered down, especially considering the texture and how flimsy they were. Pancake combo is a pretty basic staple menu item for family restaraunts/diners, not sure how it could be messed up so bad. I also ordered biscuits and gravy, those were pretty bad as well. I'm not just being hyperbolic when I say I would rather order a pancake combo from a Dennys or ihop next time im craving breakfast food, I just dont do that because I prefer to support locally owned. Im not picky at all when it comes to pancakes and eggs, it's gotta be pretty bad for me to leave a bad...

Been eating at this location for almost 50 years when my high school team would stop congressionally after a tennis match or a debate tournament. Also my father owned a business in Wisconsin Rapids with a branch in Wausau so we were frequent visitors even before the current ownership which if anything is more than equal to the job as are all the friendly staff! is one of the most efficiently run large restaurants I have ever experienced, The food selection is huge, and they manage to get you order on your table in less than 10 minutes most of the time. I now live just 5 minutes away and eat there once or twice a month. Always clean, always friendly and consistently home cookin good! Oh, and even at the busiest times 11.30 til 1 and 5 to 6:30 I have never had to wait for a seat and more than 10 minutes or so...

They put mushrooms and tomatoes in my sweet sour stir fry chicken. They are not suppose to be in the recipe. Which by the way was a take out order. Second time this has happened. I called owner Rocky, and try to tell him I don't eat mushrooms and tomatoes. Which as I said are not suppose to be in the food. His answear was The COOK IS NEW. And told me we should have told them not to put them in. EXCUSE ME....they are not suppose to be in there in the first place. We are 2 VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTUMERS. We have ordered from there very often. BUT It will be a long long time if ever to order from tri city again. If you have any allergies make sure what they are putting in your food. Or don't want any surprises...
