New Hot Wok Chinese Express — Restaurant in Schofield

People with negative comments are just here for attention. The owners are kind and honestly care so much about what they do. Literally the only good place to get takeout Chinese in Wausau. I hadn’t had hotwok since I was little and they stopped delivering. But I’ve been going again and it’s just as good as I remember. They are fast and everything is delicious. I love the honey chicken and chicken with broccoli, they have great crab Rangoon's too. The servings are also very hefty so you’ll have leftovers. It’s also cheaper than any other place around.

You won’t see anyone eating inside often but more people should and support this small business it’s literally so yummy and reliable! You can also order through delivery apps but you’ll get the best prices...

We ordered from here for the first time today 8/23/25 we ordered around 905 pm they close at 930 we were a little worried about that because most places the quality just isnt there when it gets close to closing time but we ordered and just let me say the food came hot,tasty,and generous portions so Cleary this place quality doesn't falter as it gets close to closing time I would highly recommend. The spot we tried before this "mandarin on Stewart ave" food was good but portions were tiny we always get the same thing ,happy family,beef and broccoli ,grab ragoons. This place was 15 dollars cheaper then "mandarin on stewart" and the portions from this place were twice the size as "mandarin" and this place was cheaper and included delivery hands down...

I have been in the area for over a year now, drive by this place every day. I never see cars in the parking lot. I assumed it was closed. Finally a guy at work suggested it after I had a terrible experience at Peking in Wausua (avoid that place.) I went there Sunday, got an order to go, menu was exactly what you would expect. While we were waiting that phone was ringing off the hook, and apparently it was a drive through! I think 10 cars went through while I waited. Food was flavorful, rice was not over or undercooked and it was priced right. I have finally found my spot when I want the basic Chinese...
