Vickers Lakeside Tavern — Restaurant in Schoolcraft Township

Don't go here for the food. Do go here for a couple drinks on their patio that overlooks the water. It's a nice setup at night with all the lights, and sometimes they have live music or a DJ.

If you are getting a drink in their outside patio, I advise against getting a top shelf liquor that hardly anyone else would buy. I got a double of Maker's Mark, and when I looked down into my glass there were about 12 dead fruit flies floating around the bottom of the glass. My theory is that since no one hardly orders it, the flies have more of a chance to crawl down that spout that is put in the bottle. These bottles are probably just left outside, and in time can accumulate lots of bugs.

Edit: The food has improved over the last few months. However, lately it has been hit or miss on the quality. Recently I ordered a burger with a side of potato salad. The burger came back well done :( and the side of potato salad was barely anything at all. It came in one of those little plastic containers that they put dip in. Plus the potato salad was sitting in a bunch of water, so overall it was very unpleasant. The waitress asked if I wanted them to make me a new burger, but I was really hungry and didn't want to wait another 15-20 minutes. I was at least expecting them to take it off the bill or reduce the cost, but...

No idea how the reviews are so high. Husband and I ordered to-go so we could picnic by the lake. Got there right when we were told the food would be ready, found a server, and told him I was there to pick up a to-go order. He routed me to another person, who put me in front of a 3rd person who said I needed to go the bar outside to cash out. Weird that it took so many people to figure that out. Got the food and went to the lake around the corner. I had a club sandwich with side salad, hubs had cod sandwhich and fries. Fries were ok, side salad good. But he said his sandwich seemed like a basic frozen fish patty on a bun, no flavor or sauce. My club was not good at all. It was like they made it too quick and it sat for a while. I received ham when I ordered turkey - it was dry and had a funny taste. The bread was greasy and lettuce limp. I'm not a picky eater and rarely leave bad reviews, but this food was not worth paying for. Also they did not offer/provide utensils, napkins, ketchup or anything else for our to-go order. Really...

Went in with a medium sized group. They had a limited menu because of a car show, no big deal. Took us 20mins just to get 5 beers and 8 waters to the table we had to ask over and over and over for the water.

We ask if the baskets comes with fries.. she says yes.We order, she comes back out and tells us fries do not come with the baskets.. no biggy everyone but ONE person wants fries. they bring some food out, COMPLETELY forget like 2-3 peoples food. Only bring out like 2-3 fries. At this point everyone is getting frustrated. The managers office is 10ft from us, he’s in there smiling and texting. They forget to put one persons order in and he has to sit and watch everyone eat while they make his.

Waitress didn’t care, manager didn’t care, food was ehhh, and they could even make it work with a limited menu.

The view was cute. But we weren’t there to look at water.
