Village Hide-A-Way — Restaurant in Schoolcraft Township

Tonight at the hide a way we had really bad service and they forgot our dinner for one of our people and they didn’t bring his food until everyone else was done eating and suggested that he get 1/2 off his dinner my aunt told the manager she felt they could do better because our service was bad and then the food problem. We were then asked to leave and we did, then on our way to the parking lot. My kids and I were walking to the dollar general parking lot where we parked and the manager followed me and my kids to my car and started getting loud with me and yelling at me in front of my kids where I had my kids leave and my youngest was 8 and she scared the crap out of him. I was really disappointed with the way they handled the situation between my aunt and the lady and then followed me and my kids to my car! She really scared my kids that she followed us and started yelling at me for something that had nothing to do with me or my kids. I really expect an apology for my son but I know that will never happen!!

Then blocked us from their page on facebook because people who saw the interaction also started leaving bad reviews.

We order the food a lot. I like pretty much everything except the lake perch its not the typical Michigan lake perch we are used to. It used to be yellow lake perch. I don't know what it is now. I love the Chester wings and the Reubens. I really wanted a Greek salad, so I got one. It was absolutely nothing like a Greek salad. It had a spring mix instead of just romaine, the black olives were chopped up instead of Kalamata whole olives, there were banana pepper rings instead of pepperoncino's, there were a ton of white onions instead of the typical red onion, no cucumbers, and what appeared to be creamy Italian dressing instead of Greek dressing. I still gave 5 starts because I really enjoy the food. I just want people to know that its not the typical Greek salad as one might expect. The staff...

28APR23 Just ordered the steak dinner special ( $8.95) for takeout. I didn't expect a lot for the price. Very happily surprised! The steak was a very tender cut with only a half teaspoon of fat on it and no grissle anywhere. It was nearly perfectly prepared and, even after the 10-minute ride home, stayed at table temp until i finished. ( So did the perfectly prepared French fries!) Had i known it was served with sauteed mushrooms and onions, I'd have asked for them to be left off... But then i would have missed out on the wonderfully caramelized and thickly sliced al dente topping. Cole slaw is always hit or miss for me; to creamy, to dry, too much vinegar or mustard, but I'll definitely look forward to this again!...
