Huddle House — Restaurant in Scott

Wow, where to start with this place! I was staying at a hotel nearby and saw Huddle House one day on a day trip in Lafayette and I'm glad I went.

The waitress made some of the best Arnold Palmer I've ever had. I'm not sure if it's their selection of tea, lemonade, or both? The ratio of my drink was on point as was the service (the waitress was friendly, attentive, and offered me a drink to go!).

Unfortunately I can't recall her name (Michelle?) but the waitress there offered the MVP breakfast for the first timer. I took her up on the offer. A flexible, hardy, and nourishing meal for a great price (although, I'll be honest...I should have ordered a larger side of grits).

The MVP was absolutely amazing and enough to provide the satiation required for my day ahead. This breakfast does not disappoint as I found myself clearing the whole plate - no to go boxes here because you'll want...

My husband and I headed this way towards the coffee depot down the street. It's Monday so it was closed. We wanted something a little special so we hesitated to stop at the Huddle House ( sorry for my predisposed opinions of chain restaurants) . I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The restraunt was clean, the entire staff greeted us with smiles. Every employee, including the cooks gave a warm smile and welcome. The food was great. The portions were abundant. Thr real treat was Ms. Joyce, our server, she was friendly, attentive, we couldnt have asked for better service. Again, the service exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere in this place is warm and inviting, the food came out hot and timely so I give props to the kitchen staff as well. Thanks Huddle House for an awesome "plan B" breakfast. My family placed a order at 3:47. We went to pick up the order @ 4: 08 like the site said. As we are pulling up to the Scott location. Two employees were locking the doors. We told them we were there to pick up the order. They said they are closed. We told them the order was accepted and paid for. We even show them the order. All they said we're they did not see the order. This is nor true, online orders goes right to the kitchen. So we asked about the refund and was told by the man employee we can request from the site. Well, you can't. So we called corp office. The recording directs you to a site for a complaints. The does not help us get our refund of $85.00. Even though we love the food, we will never eat there again. We did reach a very nice manager from another location who is supposed to have someone call us. 3 hours later and no...
