This is an easy one....the pizza was pretty good....better than your average NEPA pizza. We had the round with half pepperoni. Th e crust was nice and crisp, but only toward the edges...the middle was softer/limp. The flavor was good....sauce was a bit on the sweet side, but in a good way. The cheese was also flavorful. Overall the pizza itself gets a 3.75/5. The service, on the other hand, was painfully slow. We were seated right away but waited 12 minutes before our order was taken. The place seemed busy but it seemed like they only had two waitresses working the tables. Our waitress checked up on us once after the pizza arrived but after we were done 15 minutes had gone by and we were still waiting to see her so we could tell her we'd like the check now. I had to get up and track her down and tell her we were in a hurry and would like the check, which she promptly gave us at that point. We left the money and exited.
Personally, I don't care as much about the service...although I'd rather have a rude waitress who is timely and checks in more often than a friendly one who is hard to locate because she has so many tables because they don't have enough people working (which is what we had). Some of the best food I've had came with sub-par service...it happens.
We will probably go back, but maybe we'll do...
Read moreDecided to give Fratelli’s a try for dinner before going to see a play since they were open earlier than most places. Immediately greeted by the hostess and seated and given waters. A few minutes later our server (my apology I forgot her name) took our drink and dinner order. Mom and I ordered creamsicle and apple crunch martinis. Drinks were delicious. The apple crunch was the perfect fall drink. I didn’t sample the creamsicle but heard it was great. I had the Italian wedding soup for an appetizer. They were VERY generous with the meatballs in the soup. Very tasty! I ordered fettucine Alfredo and was blown away by it! First off the portion was HUGE. The flavors were on point. Just the right amount of cheesiness and garlic. The Chicken parm portion was huge also. Needless to say we had leftovers enough for 2 more meals. Service was great. Again our server was kind, accommodating and attentive during our visit. We will be frequenting again and next time I’m trying the pizza! All around great experience with great food and drinks in a casual setting. Keep up...
Read moreSomeone kept recommending us to try Fratelli’s so we decided on a Saturday mid afternoon to give it a go. Should have just avoided it like we have been. For a pasta house, I thought the pasta would be homemade. The waitress informed us it wasn’t, but the sauce was. We thought no biggie and went with the penne vodka. The food was absolutely horrible. I don’t think I would even serve it to animals. The garlic bread had so much garlic and seasoning that I could barely swallow it. It left a strong after taste. The vodka sauce was more of a deep orange borderline red. It was so acidic. I had to put some sugar and mix it around just to take it away. It also tasted sour. The penne was barely cooked. It hard and could barely chew it. Most of the pasta was sticking together. The service was average. Nothing to ride home about this place. I definitely will never step foot in this place again. I’m actually shocked by how many people...
