Kelly's Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Scranton

Just want to give a kudos to Kelly’s Restaurant in Scranton. We ate dinner there tonight with our 2 kids. We rarely go out because our 2 yr old is awful at restaurants. We had errands to run tonight abd had to go out to dinner rather than cook. Our youngest was actually pretty good tonight. The staff was not only kind to my kids, but one of them got down on the floor to talk about coloring books, minecraft, and cars. Another staff played dinosaurs and roared and clawed with my 2 year old. The service was excellent (not too much, not too little). We didn’t go without drinks. Food came out quickly. Food was amazing. Staff was so nice. The patrons were excellent too, one of them picking my son’s dinosaur up. Just goes to show that a restaurant that welcomes families also instills those values and attracts patrons who are nice to kids. I remember going to Kelly’s as a kid and I am happy I can bring my kids there.

Avoid going here to eat. The spiciest option of wings isn't any hotter than the normal "hot" option at other restaurants. Also, the main reason for the rating is the ridiculous price of drinks here. Just for a glass of soda it's around 2 dollars, with no free refills. This forces you to buy one of the larger pitchers, that seem to be an even value because it's around 3 dollars for about 1.5 glasses. The seating arrangement is also overcrowded with questionable choices for some of the tables, one located in the corner, right next to the server door. The food isn't bad, not good either, but I've definitely had worse. That's the only thing keeping my review from a 1 star. Just tried Kelly’s for the very first time and most likely will not try it again!! My husband and I love wings and wanted to try a new place and with the decent reviews I was expecting a lot better.. My husband ordered 2 orders of wings “hot & saucy” and 2 steak and cheese wraps with no tomatoes. We both hate tomatoes and don’t eat them. The lady that took our order read the order back on the phone correctly. We get home with the food and the wings were dry as a bone with a little tiny bit of some greasy type sauce under the wings and both of our cheese steak wraps were filled with large square chunks of tomatoes throughout them. 🤢 We were basically still hungry after and the...
