Captain Don's Lobster Pound — Restaurant in Seabrook

Well, went to Captain Don's pound and purchased some "FRESH" lobsters. Asked for a dozen and when I got home an hour later in an airconditioned car, FOUR were dead. There is no way that these critters were alive when I purchased them. When I called to explain my concerns, the person on the phone just hung up on me. Four wasted lobsters made the price per pound go up for me considerably but, they did get rid of 4 that they didn't have to write off. Go somewhere else, not worth the chance of bad seafood...

Great place and fresh lobster! They have live lobster and more of it than you could shake a stick at. They will cook it and separate the meat out for you, but you should call ahead. They don't generally have it sitting around. We were fortunate they just happened to have 2 lbs. available, but, normally, you'll be waiting if you don't order ahead. Last minute decision for lobster at 6pm after a beach day and the only shop open till 7 from Rye to Salisbury it seems. Excellent, knowledgeable and friendly customer service!
