My experience here was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Customer service: BAD Food Quality and Quantity: BAD Price: BAD Not Being Horrible at Everything: BAD

I had asked for a HOT lobster roll, the old woman as the cashier didn't correct me when I said it, and when she read the order back to me she said "lobster roll" but never informed me that there was, in fact, not a hot lobster roll available (which blows my mind because it's just lobster and hot butter). When my food came up I got a cold lobster roll, I let the young woman who gave it to me know I had asked for a hot, she said they didn't make them hot. So I let her know I ordered it hot, maybe the lady didn't hear me but could I at least get my money back because I didn't want a cold one.

When the old woman who took my order came to talk to me she was automatically defensive and instead of being diplomatic, listening to ANY word that came out of my mouth and understanding that mistakes happen she yapped at me. Not quite a yell but certainly not just speaking - just YAPPED. Gah, so much of that. She had such a bad attitude (as if she owned bank of america and I asked for an unreasonable loan) and tried to blame ME 'by saying that I should've listened to her repeat the order back. "SEE THAT SIGN? IT SAYS LISTEN CAREFULLY! YOU DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME READ BACK YOUR ORDER CAREFULLY! YOU SHOULD'VE LISTENED TO ME!".

What should've happened, was when I said "Hot Lobster Roll", she should have let me know this over priced and undersized sandwich was not available in hot form, but only cold form. I calmly told her, listen, you didn't correct me when I ordered and when you repeated it back you didn't specify if it was hot or cold, so how am I supposed to know that? Can I please just get my money back, this isn't what I wanted. She goes, "Oh AND WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THAT? THIS IS YOUR FAULT NOT MINE!" Oh, I'm sorry, did this not cost you a whole dollar to make (and clearly not out of your own pocket), and it cost me 15 to toss in the trash because you suck? After this I lost it. You can't reason with a dust cloth of a person.

...So, I got raped for $30.00.

Also, the cheeseburger I ordered was the most unsatisfactory cheeseburger I've ever had the opportunity to try. Frozen for too long, the cheese was gross, the tomato was cut by what looked like an uncoordinated child. However, Onion Rings were actually really good - so at least they've got that going for them. But as someone who worked in a small seafood shack like this as my first job at 14 (and later managed it for 3 years) and went on to work in high end bars and restaurants for 13 years, I can tell you that this place sucks!

To the old woman: You should absolutely STOP WORKING with people.

To the staff: I'm sorry you have to work with that woman and see me react poorly to her.

To the owners:...

Let me start with...Food was Excellent and back of the house was on point. The Atmosphere?well,it's a Clam Shack so who really cares....NO SEAGULLS which was nice and I actually thought the Picnic tables were some of the BEST I've ever sat at.Now onto Service...the Lady taking the Orders has to be the Owner or at least a relative because she is Very Unlikable...she will come back and say all she cares about is the Food BUT that's not her part of the process....she's the Face of the business and needs to check her FUNKY ATTITUDE at the door when she comes to work. The girl behind the pickup window was very nice and like I said cooks do a nice job.For those of you complaining about price? The restaurant is kind of at the mercy of local fisherman so I get that. For me the Deal Breaker was the Karen at the order window....she needs to understand that within 20-25 minutes of Ceals there are MANY PLACES to get Food that's AT LEAST as good and a couple that are BETTER...gonna pass on this place next time but I leave by saying the Chicken Fingers and Onion Rings...

Was going to Brown's but thought I would give this place a chance since I've never been there before. Should've gone to Brown's! Overall appearance was old and rundown. Could use a facelift. Food was decent, good price for a lobster roll at $18.95. It was fresh lobster and a decent amount, but it seemed like they put zero mayo in it. You don't need much mayo in a lobster roll, but you need some! Grilled cheese sandwich was good. So were the fries, but a overpriced at $7.95 for a small (the menu said $6.95, update your prices please!) Bring a calculator when you go there. I was charged $41.50 when I should've been charged around 39 dollars. When I complained about being overcharged, the cashier gave me back $1.10. It wasn't a huge difference, but when you're already spending 40 bucks for lunch you really don't want to be overcharged! Overall, not the worst lunch ever but I probably wouldn't go back again. There's a reason I usually go to Brown's. They have the best seafood...

First time here and I was told a nice story about how this place has been around for 4 generations since 1948, women run and owned. Amazing & lovely woman who is very proud of her and her families Ceal's (her Grandmother's name), in both the food and her family. I'm super picky, and if I eat fried food I avoid places that use cornmeal/hardened & greasy coatings. I ordered a small fried clam of which are incredibly fresh, with a nice, generous serving. The pic is missing two clams, I couldn't help myself. The coating is nice and light, no cornmeal that I can tell thankfully. Hints of garlic with the equally as delicious, fresh, homemade tartar sauce. So flavorful. These ladies go all out. Five stars, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Hadn’t been there in years. We stopped for lobster roles, which are “market price.” Now mind you, lobster as of this writing is less than $5 per pound. But we paid around $31 or so (plus tip) and got the two smallest lobster rolls we have ever seen. They were better described as hot dog buns with lobster flavoring. So disappointing. Picture is of two on a salad plate. Lettuce gives lobster some lift, making it seem fuller. Should have made drive to Beach Plum in Rye. Better options and you trade highway sound for crashing waves.

It's okay. The pizza burger was a sad looking patty smothered in what seems to be marinara with a minuscule smattering of sprinkled parmesan (like what you'd put on spaghetti). The lobster roll was decent but expensive and there were bits of shell in it. Regular frappes were extremely thin and tasted like too much Hershey's syrup versus actual chocolate ice cream. Tender prices were odd, 7.75 for a small (5) and $17.75 for a large (10), didn't make sense to us but whatever. All in all we'll try somewhere else next time.
