Yankee Fishermen's Co-Op — Restaurant in Seabrook

Today my nephews and I drove to the beach and saw a sign that says live lobster for sale. So we decided to turn in and buy some live lobsters to grill. When we got there. The girl that works there asked us what we wanted so I told her I want 25 live quarter lobsters. She then asked us if we had a cooler and I said no. She then rolled her eyes and said “if you’re buying 25 lobsters why didn’t you bring a cooler?” I told her it was a last minute thing and ask her if she have any boxes. So she threw a fit and went to the back and start tossing the lobsters into the two boxes. She then brought them out and ring out the price. It was $320 so I paid for it. I asked her if I can get two plastic bag so I can try to not have any water drip in my rear trunk. She rolled her eyes and gave an attitude again and handed it to me. I don’t know what her problem is. Does she not want my business? That’s not how you treat your customers. I’m buying over $300 worth of lobsters why are we getting that bad attitude from you. I was nice enough to hold it in today and still bought it. I still don’t really know why we deserve that kind of attitude from her. Was it my skin or hair color? What was it? I forgot to ask for her name. Don’t know if she’s the owner there, or just a worker there. But we still didn’t deserve the disrespect. The lobsters are good there but I would not go there ever again until I get the proper apologies from her or the owner of “Yankee fisherman’s”

Very horrible customer...

We stopped here yesterday after our fishing trip. We like to buy local and have been here a few times previously. Unfortunately our experience was not pleasant. If we had any other choice of places to buy at 5:00pm we would have left. We were treated horribly by the man behind the counter. We asked a question about clams and we told they weren’t for sale? We then asked to purchased 30 lobsters. The person threw them in a garbage bag, refused to put them in our cooler and didn’t offer us any ice for transport. If he would have been pleasant we would not have minded but he was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I have never been treated so poorly by a person especially when we were purchasing close to $400...

Incomplete review.

In driving by we decided to check this place out for the experience of it. We expected a shop full of stalls and different fishermen selling various fish and other seafood. Maybe this would be the place to see a rare catch or other creature.

Instead, we walked into a rather small room flanked with cold cases. The selection was nice but not excessive and most looked to be feshly caught and not frozen. Fresh lobsters were being brought in from a back room on order.
