Had been here before and had okay service, so on our way back to home decided to give it one last try. Sat down and waited for our server, finally the bus boy took our drink order and alerted the waiter that we had been waiting for menus. he showed up gave isnoir menus and never was seen again. Finally found a waitress that was working in the area we sat and she took our order. We placed our order for a order of queso and guacamole, for the chips and had 2 of the specials, which was chicken fajitas with shrimp. 30 minutes later, our food was served with no queso, no guacamole, all corn tortillas which we order half corn half flour. When asked where the queso and guacamole was, she looked and asked "u didn't get it", we responded do u see it and her excuse was it wasn't her table; yet she took the order and brought the order. When asked if we could get the flour tortillas, her comment was I'll get u some - never saw her again. She asked if we wanted the queso and guacamole, we declined it since we were wanting it to eat with the chips. She commented that we didn't need to get an attitude with her, that it was not her fault! I said it was, because she opted to take car of the table regardless. Finally after eating our 3 shrimp and 6 pieces of chicken fajita chunks, cold rice beans; we ended up having to flag down another waitress to get our check, which of course still had the charges for the queso and guacamole she promptly fixed it and we paid and left. I would not suggest this place, like I said prior the service is slow and unfriendly, no matter time day or night, food way over priced...
Read moreWe spent a couple of nights in Seadrift, Texas. Seadrift is often compared to New York City except that Seadrift does not have a forest of tall buildings, bright lights, traffic, crowds, a theater district, world class museums, a vast army of Yellow Cabs, anything like Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park or the Brooklyn Bridge. But Seadrift does have one thing the Big Apple doesn’t have: La Terraza, an excellent Mexican restaurant offering a wide selection of delectable menu items including traditional Tex-Mex items and a wide array of excellent, Mexican inspired seafood choices.
Se habla “margaritas” here so you can wash down those yummy enchiladas or delicious fish tacos with something more interesting and potent than a Dr. Pepper.
Prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly (two qualities that are not so readily available in the Big Apple).
Save room for dessert, because they have excellent sweets...
Read moreCame here for breakfast and another time for dinner. The dinner was better. For breakfast, I was torn between one of the Mexican options and the sausage and biscuits with eggs plate. I went with the latter, but I wouldn't recommend it. I wasn't expecting my mother's biscuits & gravy, but they were pretty bland and felt canned. Eggs, bacon, and hash browns were fine. For dinner, I got the Texas Plate, with carne guisada, two cheese enchiladas, and rice & beans. That was quite good. I ordered queso with my chips, and it seemed microwaved and too runny. But the regular salsa was above average, so that evened out. They have a full bar, which I appreciated. Bloody Mary was tasty. Service was decent both times. But it wasn't very busy either visit, and they didn't go out of their way. Overall, it was...
