Established in 1978, Pizza King has been serving quality pizza, steaks, subs and sandwiches and become a local favorite for many decades. You can also enjoy a great homestyle breakfast with buttermilk pancakes and creamed chipped beef. So, don't get it twisted the name may say Pizza King but they know what they are doing in the kitchen and can produce a variety of excellent dishes.
At Pizza King they also offer homestyle dinners like the Rockfish platter, homemade meatloaf, hot Turkey sandwiches and some of the best made from scratch side dishes on the peninsula. You can't go away hungry in this place there is something for everyone.
My favorite thing on the menu has got to be the pizza twist. I have been getting the pizza twist since I was a kid. This is the Home of the "Original Pizza Twist" so if you haven't given it a try this is the place to get it! All of their pizzas start with fresh dough made daily so it's no wonder they have been around for over forty years. Then to top it off they add their signature pizza sauce that is made from fresh packed vine-ripened sweet California tomatoes. It's a mouthwatering experience when eating this fantastic food.
Order your Hand - dipped ice cream, shakes and sundaes for dessert after a fantastic dinner or just stop in for a sweet treat. Either way you will enjoy it. Pizza King offers Vanderwende's Farm Fresh Ice Cream in their restaurant. Vanderwende's ice cream is handcrafted and made right in Bridgeville Delaware so you can purchase that knowing that it's from right here in the community.
This is the place where locals eat so you know if everyone who lives in the area frequents the restaurant it's got to be good! So, stop on by Pizza King and try it for yourself, bring that special someone in for a pizza or make it a family outing and bring the kids. But remember quality food takes time so don't expect to be in and out the door in 15 minutes! Sit and enjoy that...
Read moreOur family has always enjoyed the food from this establishment. Occasionally things are over-cooked or not made to request. However the last time I visited this establishment at least a month ago I was provided a total that was higher than what is CLEARLY listed on the online menu. So today when I went online, again the rate shown CLEARLY online is not the rate that is being charged. I understood the 1st time this happened, as they said rates had just changed. However, after a month the rate listed online should 100% be the rate that you are charged. Especially since there is not even any type of disclaimer stating that the rate may be subject to change. When I inquired about this issue I was given an odd look from 1 girl and another actually gave me very rude attitude stating that the man who is supposed to fix this online pricing has been out of town (which is exactly what I was told a month ago) then she proceeded (with attitude) to tell me well you can go to walmart & if the price is higher than whats labelled they charge you the higher price... however, I've worked for "Walmart" & know 1st hand that if a product (especially when multiple of that item is on the shelf) shows 1 price on the shelf but scans a different (higher) price they actually will give you the item for the rate that is LABELED .... NOT the rate that scans. I found the whole experience enough to make me not return to Pizza King for quite some time....
Read moreDecided to try Georgetown Pizza King out to celebrate the end of summer gymnastics with the grandkids and their mom. Staff standing around just talking instead of paying attention to tables, ordered crab fries and received french fries with ranch and bbq sauce, when i asked why we didn't get the crab fries we were told "we're out of crab meat". Okay ordered nachos with chicken, receiced it with out the chicken and when i could finally get a waitresses attention they said they would make a new batch. Okay, I'm fine with that, until I get it and start realizing they reheated the first batch of naches after puttind a few fresh ones on top with the chicken and cheese. I've work in the restaurant business for 30 years and usually im understanding but i had to get up and go to the counter for silverware, asked for ketchup for the kids fries and never got it. The staff from what we noted were all young so they didn't have much experience. It's a shame because Pizza King has always been a favorite place to eat. Guess we'll stick with...
