1st time visiting this restaurant. We ordered pasta sampler, chicken Alfredo, cannelloni and a baked pasta dish that had chicken and shrimp. The bread was very good, soft and hot. The soup of the day was basically broth with 2 pieces of chicken, a few pieces of pasta and some diced carrots, not flavorful at all. The salads lacked a lot, like they could have added at least a sprinkle of cheese on the bowl of lettuce with a slice of tomato and 3 croutons. The dressings seemed to be store bought and again, not flavorful. The samplers were smaller than all of the other entrees which was a bit surprising. Cannelloni was the best dish ordered. The chicken Alfredo Sauce was watery and the noodles could have been cooked more. Al dente is one thing, these were chewy. The other baked pasta had 2 pieces of rubbery shrimp and I think we counted 3 bites of chicken but it was pretty much just pasta covered in sauce and no way it was baked. Parmesan cheese was offered after 1/3 of the meals had been eaten. Server was amazing but the runner must have been having an off day because he was unfriendly and very rushed though it was only 1/2 full. Oh, and don't order 2 glasses of wine. One of the guests got a larger glass the QST time and smaller the 2nd but was charged the...
Read moreOverall not that impressed. The bread is house made from what I can tell but it's not so great you don't need something to dip it in. Definitely would go better with an olive oil dip of some sort. Appetizer was Bruschetta and Calamari. Calamari was definitely from a freezer. Bruschetta was made with onions? Don't understand that. Had a soup that reminded me of Chicken tortilla soup... in an Italian restaurant. Dinner was a seafood combo. Without a doubt came from a freezer bag. Miniature scallops and same textured Calamari. Pasta was severely over cooked. Just turned to moosh when eaten. Well beyond al dente. Friend had the spaghetti Sherri. Looked like a Bolognese with two meatballs and a piece of Italian sausage. Not impressed with either dish. Desert was a chocolate cake. No texture. I read reviews on this place and expected something decently authentic and have been met with ultimate disappointment. 2 stars for the fact the server was great. Lady with an accent at the cashier treated her staff pretty bad not sure what her problem was but doing that in front of your customers isn't okay. Your staff keep your guests happy. Guests are happy when they enjoy your food and are served said food by excellent servers. Don't mistreat them in front of...
Read moreThe best Italian food around! No lie!!! You start off with warm garlicky rolls. My my my, these are so good that it Spotify be easy to fill up on them but hold back! Soup of the day or house salad comes with the meal. The soups are always tasty (hubby's choice) but I usually get the salad. It's nothing fancy but made fantastic by the house made tomato vinegrette. The menu is extensive and is already hard to pick; I change my mind several times before or server comes to take our order and I'm forced to pick. The marinara is great on all the traditional pasta dishes-- cheese filled manicotti, spaghetti, ravioli. You simply can't go wrong. The carbonaro is divine, so rich! Don't over look the steaks. Yeah, it's not served in the southern traditional way but instead has a side of spaghetti. I've had the ribeye several times. It's cooked just right, is tender and melts in your mouth. If you've gotten through all of that I'm sure you are stuffed and in need of a nap but check out the desserts and take one home. Hubby says the cheesecake is wonderful. I lean toward the tarimisu and lemon cake and have never been disappointed. Oh! They are now serving beer and wine so have a nice glass of red with your...
