Went to this Applebees in April '23, usually do Applebees in Marysville. Service was HORRIBLE!!!! Waitress's name was Sudarat. Waited in bar 15 minutes to even be acknowledged, they were NOT busy at all. Wait staff standing around, had to get a host to address my issue. Finally Sudarat came over to my table. I was alone at a 4-top table, she asked me 3 times if I was expecting anyone else to join me, (as if I wasn't allowed to sit at a table by myself, maybe she thought I should be at the bar?!?!?!) She took my order, and five minutes later, I had to flag down another host/busboy because after now being there 20 minutes, still nothing in front of me. Bartender was cleaning and restocking the bar, Sudarat nowhere to be seen. While asking host about at least getting my beer, here comes my waitress. I complained loudly about her service, telling her I use to be an Applebees waitress and knew what corporate expected out of their staff for service, and that she was a lousy waitress. Then she brings me a regular draft beer, not the 22 ounce I ordered explaining they were out of glasses for happy hour beers. They were so not busy, it was a joke! So she offered to bring me another 16 ounce beer after I finished the first one to make up the difference. I don't want that much beer, but accepted because I was SO mad by then. .. My food was mediocre at best. No manager ever came by to see if I was satisfied during the hour I was there, didn't even see anyone managing the place, like no one gave a damn. Sudarat never offered to comp me for any part of my ticket, again, not in par with Applebee's standards I trained under. Left her a 10 percent tip, (I normally tip 20 percent and up to 50 percent if service is exceptional, no lie). Should have stiffed her. People like Sudarat should not be in food or customer service, go get on a computer somewhere and do numbers instead. Don't bother eating here people, take the drive up north to Marysville where Holly or Adrian will treat you like gold. All of Marysville Applebees staff are awesome, food is GREAT, and this is what dining out is all about! Thank you Marysville for your staff,...
Read moreAlright, ima keep it a buck. This place, would not go here again. Me and my friends, we came here a couple of times. Lemme tell you right off the bat, best thing here is the oreo milkshake. If they're not serving that anymore, might as well take your leave. I will say the staff are alright, nothing special. One of the foods I vividly remember eating is the mozzarella sticks, and ima tell you why I remember eating that so well. (It was NOT a good experience 😭🙏🙏) basically, first off we only got like 4 mozzarella sticks and I don't remember the price but it was not worth 4 mozzarella sticks, way too expensive, and that statement is coming from a young man who makes like $100 dollars a day which I would say is pretty good for a dude under hiring range ✋️😌✋️. Anyways, from first touch it was very oily, and I know they're deep fried but this shi was like a sponge 😭. Upon taking my first bite, I only tasted one thing, not cheese, not batter, but oil, it tasted as if I had done the ice bucket challenge to my mouth but instead of ice water it was extra virgin olive oil. It was nasty bro I could not eat more than 1 which is NOT good looks 😬😬. Luckily my brother ate it but he would eat literally anything, so it's not that high of a bar. When I was almost done with my single mozzarella stick, the mozzarella stick was in fact, not mozzarella sticking (😔) the batter completely fell off the Walmart quality ahh sting cheese and the fried batter was completely falling apart in my hands. It reminded me of Avengers: End Game when Thanos snapped Peter Parker (spiderman) was turning to dust while hugging Tony stark (ironman) which made me cry, it was so sad and Peter's acting is so good, he's definitely top 3 spiderman actors. But yeah that scene reminded me of the batter falling apart in my hands. Definitely not worth the price and not gonna buy it again if I do go there again at some point, which would only be if I'm getting peer pressured to go there(I fold under pressure completely 💀💀💀). The mac and cheese is not bad though. That's about it, 3¾/10...
Read moreBe careful if you pay with card and manager James is on duty, he instructs his team to manipulate the device where you pay with card. I saw them answering the customer satisfaction surveys but I know its possible to auto assign a tip if you didn't close the session (Until I know he is not instructing that). I not going there anymore when James is on duty. Instructing our young people to follow unethical practices damage our community and can damage the future of this young people.
On the night of May 6th, one of the servers began filling out my customer satisfaction survey in front of me. When I asked them not to do so, I was ignored and told it was an instruction from Manager James. When I spoke to the manager on duty that night, I was informed that James initiated this practice to improve his personal management visibility metrics. The young server really thought it was fine since the General Manager instructed that.
On May 7th, I spoke directly with James about the matter. He clearly stated that he does not care about customer opinions and that he will continue instructing his team to complete the surveys themselves to maintain his metrics. He spent over 40 minutes attempting to justify this behavior. Who knows which other bad practices he is instructing to his team.
This was already reported to Applebees and Flynn group. The Area Supervisor is already taking actions on this but you should be...
