Earlier this week I went to take my sister for her favorite meal of sushi for dinner and we decided to come here since it's around the corner from her house. Something that stood out to me was the presentation. For example, the dishes they used to serve. None of it was plastic (well, okay the bowl my miso came in was but the coloring matched everything else) and it felt higher end. She ordered a couple of standard rolls like Philly. I got the chirashi bowl. I think these were priced very well for the quality of fish - $7.50 per roll she got and my bowl was I think $29. I ate all 15 pieces of fish and it was delicious! I appreciated the chef took care into the presentation like having parsley garnish, dill on the salmon, pieces of pickled radish scattered around, and included shredded daikon. My favorite was the scallop, it was soft and flavorful - I wished I got more than one piece of it! Service was normal and I appreciated the pieces of candy (Hi-Chew) we got with the check. I liked it was well lit inside, wasn't blasting music so we were able to enjoy conversing, and the server placed people a table away (even at the sushi bar people were placed with an empty chair in-between).

I had hoped to find an acceptable sushi place somewhere near me and this was the closest to me that Google listed. I went in expecting a mediocre, run of the mill, conveyor belt sushi experience and stepped into a surprisingly exceptional, intimate and blissful oasis that actually IS a real sushi bar! The atmosphere was surprisingly relaxing and the staff was super friendly and polite. It is a small, impeccably clean place, well laid out with a handful of tables and a few seats at the "bar" where you can watch the chefs artfully create masterpieces that delight and satisfy both your hunger and your eyes! This is a place where you can really slow down and enjoy your food. The wasabi was excellent, probably the best i have ever tasted, and I am not big on wasabi. The food was timely to the table and incredibly fresh, delicious and artfully presented! I found the menu very reasonably priced. I have definitely paid more at other, more fancy places and have been just as equally pleased with the quality of the meal and dining experience. I came in on a late, weekday evening and it was not busy. I can't wait to return to sample other items on the menu!

Great food, friendly staff and calming atmosphere. After a busy day this place was exactly what we needed. The staff here was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere, despite being in a small strip mall, was a clean and relaxing Japanese theme. I had a Sapporo and was able to get in some much needed relaxation. Now to the food. It was great! I had sushi, naturally, the dishes were a mix of creative and traditional. The sushi was fresh and very tasty. The rolls were 8 pieces each so about 1 to 2 rolls per person will work depending on how hungry you are. My fiance had the noodle soup and loved it. I tried it and can say I would go back just for it, better than the local pho place for sure. The only reason I gave it a four star review instead of a five was the specials. I went the weekend before Halloween so the special roll was the 'Freddy Kruger' roll. Points for inventiveness, it's not easy to keep new things on the menu. However, this one was a miss. It wasn't bad but that's not really what sushi is meant to be. I'll definitely be back for the rest of the food though.
