its so much cleaner than heaven scent and a lot more presentable in the costumer area. the atmosphere was a little confusing though. there was k pop playing on the TV and the menu you see right away is all bubble tea and slushies. the actual food menu is all on a kiosk. prices were very high. for a 12 piece family combo with 3 extra sides and sauces, it was $75 (about $25 more than heaven scent for the same amount of food, but double the amount of rolls). the chicken was great! ill miss the cornflake batter, it was very juicy and crunchy nonetheless. it was classic American fried chicken with the choice of regular or spicy. the spicy wasn't spicy at all. im assuming because of the comment below saying it was too spicy. sir dont ruin it for everybody who can handle the spice. there were options for the usual sides- mashed potatoes and gravy, mac n Cheese, rolls, coleslaw, etc. theres no okra or southern desserts or anything like that, sides dont come with the chicken and range between $3-5. gravy doesnt come with the potatoes. it has its own price, but the gravy is super good. sauces are Asian fusion (also extra). all the sides are super small portions, especially for the prices. they are half the size of what heaven scent included in the family size meals.
overall, everything was delicious and worth a try, but the prices were way higher than heaven scent for same quality and side portions are...
Read moreI've been on a mission to find really flavorful fried chicken since moving here. I grew up loving how KFC tasted in Vietnam, but for some reason, the big chains here like KFC and Jollibee just don't have that same punch. Cluck and Crunch is the first place that has really nailed it for me. They get it right by seasoning the meat under the skin, so the flavor goes all the way through. The dark meat is my go-to—it's always juicy and flavorful. The white meat is solid, too, as far as white meat chicken goes, which is not that far to be honest. They have other great options, too. The Mac and Cheese with Chicken Bites is really satisfying, and the cheesy wings and fries are always a good call. Don’t skip the dinner rolls; they’re soft and remind me of a homemade non sweet version of Hawaiian rolls. The place itself is small and can get crowded, but they've got outdoor seating. Honestly, my search is...
Read moreChicken was good and the girl working the front counter was very nice.
However we paid $21 for a combo and did not get our fries with the order, only the entree. That’s a lot of money to charge and then not follow through on.
Fried chicken was good, the macaroni bites is good, just very expensive for KFC par chicken. Especially when they don’t give you the whole order :/
I dont blame the girl working the front counter, she was very nice and seemed busy where as the two other people working by the chicken fryer seemed more scatter brained and did not acknowledge us at all. I have a feeling they were the ones meant to put the fries in the bag and they just didn’t manage to do it.
Oh and the rolls are...
