Why one star?! Where's the ZERO button?!
I DON'T like giving out negative reviews! I'd you look at my reviews you'll see a tendency to rate 5 stars for reasons I find that deserve it. I will probably delete this review eventually because I don't like to cause negatives that lead to poor economy. Ok, so here's why I'm giving this review.
I went to Prost with an attractive friend and that's the ONLY explanation I can even GUESS at as to what happened. We went into Prost, sat down, the male bartender came by, asked what he could get for us, my friend said she'd have a beer and he walked away. I was interested in a water and a bite to eat but after she ordered he gave me not a glance or interest. A not too short time later yet not too long later the bartender brought over 2 beers. I said something like , "It looks like a misunderstanding. She ordered a beer." He started to take the other beer away and I asked if she wanted the other beer. She said yes and he left it for her. He NEVER asked me if I wanted ANYTHING.
I've had good experiences with Prost before but this was ridiculous. I'll go somewhere else where they will serve me. I'm not going to...
Read moreThis place is great! I had been to Feierabend once before and really liked it, so I thought I'd give this place a try since they were started by the same guy. I took my dad with me because he lives about a mile away and we watched the Seahawks game at the bar with an unobstructed view of a big screen. Space is a bit tight, think your typical Belltown bar size but a little narrower. Spots at the bar are hard to come by, but there is a decent amount of other seating given the size of the place.
On to the drinks: soooo many German biers to choose from! They had 5 Oktoberfests to choose from on tap when I went, so I was a happy camper. This is the kind of place that takes care in giving you the right glass for your beer when you order a half liter, but still has the liter mugs on deck for those who are a little more thirsty.
As far as food goes, the pretzel is crazy good, and the sausages they were cooking up looked darn tasty as well. I think I will have to try the Brezel sandwich next time I come in... which will be soon!
TL;DR All about the biers! Half liters, liters, and das boot. DARTS! Decent whiskey selection if you need something a...
Read moreI’m a german( like born raised and lived in germany not my great great granddad came from germany! and I came here expecting at least a little bit of my home cuisine but it was nothing like that. Nobody in there spoke german, that’s like me opening a korean restaurant. The beer selection was okay I guess but the Bretzels were absolutely atrocious, nothing like german Bretzels, the ‘bratwursts’(If one could call that) were BOILED!!! bratwurst is fried above a grill maybeee in a pan but NEVER BOILED!! that was an INSULT to actual good bratwurst. Also the only dishes were BRETZELS and those ‘bratwursts’ that were served in a BUN (!!) get that they came in a BUNNN no bratwurst should ever come in a bun, it’s always in a small german bread that was the most atrocious dish Ive ever seen. It was just a bar with a cheap, unoriginal bad expensive horrible gimmick. Dont ever go there unless you’re only going for the drinks. You would get a better experience in a kiosk in dortmund for 4 bucks. Freaking disgusting, insulting and culturally...
