Great first impressions. Seems like they recently opened for dining. I started by ordering wings for the table, and I was not disappointed. Some of the best wings I have had. Could immediately taste the homemade Buffalo sauce. It was served with a delicious salad that had apple and coleslaw. It was well worth the money. And not to forget the blue cheese dressing that came with the wings was fabulous. At first, I didn't realize it was blue cheese since I didn't really eat blue cheese dressing, but it was delicious. Also homemade. For dinner, we ordered a pizza and a chicken alfredo pasta. I was unable to take a picture of it because it smelled so good and we dug into it immediately. The pasta was extremely creamy and delicious, with grilled strips of chicken on top. The Pizza was excellent as well. We had ordered a half and half a pepperoni and hawaiian, a pizza. It wasn't greasy and was extremely delicious. I took some time to talk with the manager, and they explained to me that they word managed differently from the morning, breakfast. It looks like they are attempting to expand the dinner front pretty soon. Apparently, they have only been open for less than a week. They are planning on having a bar and draft beers in the near future, i can't wait for a good cocktail to combine with the delicious food. Again, the food was excellent, extremely delicious, and I will definitely come back...
Read moreBy far our new favorite brunch spot! My mother and I randomly stopped at this restaurant for brunch after reading a couple good reviews. We were just looking for a place to eat that was near Green Lake. This restaurant by far blew our expectations! From the moment we walked in we were in awe of the cleanliness of the restaurant, the professionalism that the staff has, quick service, the amazing customer service and the FOOD OMG THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It was more than just food, it was food cooked with knowledge of how flavors work well with one another, and you can tell that all of the recipes are original and nothing used from a can or box. This is the good stuff and you don’t want to miss out. To be honest its HARD to find a good restaurant now days but this is a diamond in the rough. My favorite was the breakfast sandwich, the bacon that they use is thick and delicious, the tangy mild spice sauce that they put on the sandwich just ties all the flavors together and the red potatoes OMG the red potatoes are seasoned just perfectly. We also tried the biscuits and gravy, you can tell the gravy is done by scratch oh so yummy and make sure you tryout the homemade jam that is on every table, I put it on a slice of French toast Yumm. The portion size is large, we both took food home from our brunch… oh and you can’t beat 2...
Read moreWe arrived Dish at about 11 this morning. The restaurant was full, sign up sheet on the front door, no one appeared to be managing it. We put our name on the list, asked the nearest waitress how long the wait would be, and sat outside. After about 20 minutes we noticed that another group who arrived after us was seated first (with their dog - I don't think that's allowed in Seattle restaurants? That may be why the food safety rating on the door is 2nd from the worst rating, 'ok'). I asked why we weren't seated first, and gathered that no one had paid attention to the sign up sheet. When we were sat, we waited some time for anyone to notice our table/take drink and food order. Our food came out eventually, no drinks. Grabbed a waitress to ask about drinks, she brought a couple, forgot about water (and missed a coke).. The food was ok, but didn't make up for the lousy treatment we received at our table and while waiting for a table. We've been to Dish in the past, won't return after this experience. There are a wealth of great breakfast eateries in the Ravenna area (that have better food safety ratings!), this isn't...
