Casa Patron — Restaurant in Seattle

Really love this place. Great food, nice people, cool building... The prices are pretty high for the overall quality, but they do put a lot of work and love into the experience.

UPDATE to my review: we were seated upstairs on our 10th time coming back to Casa Patron, the first time bringing a friend with us. The service was absolutely DREADFUL. The waitress made us wait 20 minutes for chips and salsa, and when we kept trying to make eye contact with her or say something when she walked by (or when she was standing around on her phone behind the bar upstairs), she ignored us plainly. After 20 minutes, I started walking toward her when I noticed her grabbing some chips for a table that was just seated. I asked if we could get some chips and salsa, she replied "sir I was just bringing you the chips", she then walks by me, puts the chips on the new table, goes back behind the bar to text for a minute, then gets our chips and brings them over to us finally.

She doesn't come back to order for another 15 minutes, even though we were ready when we finally got the chips (but had walked away without saying anything when we said thanks and tried to say we were ready to order), then she forgot the tortillas for the dishes two people had ordered... We had to try and get her attention yet again (10-15 mins to do this politely) when we realized she wasn't going back down to get them. She milled about upstairs for another 15 minutes before going down and getting the tortillas. The whole thing was baffling for us because Casa Patron is one of our favorite places in the area for good Mexican food... They lost some of their best customers that night for at least a few months, wish I had recorded the...

We went in there with a large party of about 30 after my sister had reserved tables a month prior and confirming the reservation the day before for her graduation. Some other group had just been seated at our tables when we arrived on schedule. They were unable to accommodate us for a while and the staff didn't seem to care. Finally, they did put us on the lower floor after they put many smaller tables together. I didn't receive a menu for 10 min. Once I did order, I waited for my food for 30 min before asking where my food was at nicely, I've worked in food service before so I understand that things happen. The manager, uncaringly said, it's on it's way. I waited 15 more min. before I just cancelled my order for my son and I and left. My sister and her children waited another 15 min. for theirs. I hadn't received my food and others around me who arrived later were receiving theirs. I'm from out of town and wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to be disappointed. It seemed as if the staff didn't care. The manager didn't care either, a taller man, goatee, and gray hair, as he did not update me on the status of our food, when he was the one that took our order. Outstanding food, very good, I had chips and salsa, then ordered the Ground Beef Nachos. Very tasty, sample plate size. Wife got the steak fajitas, she talked with the chef, she thought the steak was bad, I tasted it, we asked the chef to taste it. He said it was fine but she just didn’t care for it, they happily and insisted she could order anything else. She got the enchiladas, 1 chicken, beef and cheese. All were AWESOME! Would recommend this and would most certainly return. Great food!!!! Service was fair, bless her heart, it wasn’t what job was, normally the cleaner… she stepped up and became our server, kind, friendly but being a server definitely was not her job. But very attentive when she could. Just not used to serving so things were a bit slow. But they were professional, kind and polite. The setting was clean, nice music, in the background, chairs and booth seating were comfortable and clean, bathroom was well kept and clean as well, nice full bar with seating… Nice...
