Just recently tonight I decided to go here before closing, and I placed my order and I waited about 15 minutes before anyone decided to make my order while they were all talking in the inside with someone so I waited patiently to then realize I waited 20 to then seen everyone get back to work so by 28 to 30 minutes my order is about ready but then I noticed that the girl that was taking my order started doing trash and putting bags in the bins and also grabbing the trash bins with her hands and when my order was ready she put the bags down and did not wash her hands and then grabbed sauces and next grabbed my plate and opened it with her dirty hands and then put it all in a bag and I told her I felt uncomfortable accepting that plate and explained why in detail and ask if there was a manager there. Which I asked for a refund and the girl told me she hooked me up for being patient which I was. And gave me extra okra and what not so the manager came and I explained what happened and she offered to remake me my order and I said if you can do that I would highly appreciate it. So I accepted it and was disappointed when I left with my food and find it disrespectful how I was served after waiting about 40 minutes in the drive thru. I find this unacceptable and I will be coming back in with a complaint especially with how I was served like I’m a dog like rice was sprinkled in the plate and you can see through the rice and see the plate and the okra looked like one serving but spread out to look as if it was two sides. I recently ordered the Spicy Batter Dipped Fish Ultimate Seafood Platter with some customizations from Captain D's, expecting a delightful seafood feast. However, what I received was a far cry from what I had anticipated.
First and foremost, my order was completely botched. Instead of the promised Spicy Batter Dipped Fish, I received two pieces of chicken. This glaring mistake was incredibly disappointing and left me questioning the competence of the kitchen staff. It's unacceptable to substitute a completely different dish without informing the customer.
Moreover, despite requesting double fries, I was only provided with double slaw. While I have no qualms about coleslaw, it was not what I ordered nor what I was looking forward to. The oversight in fulfilling such a simple request is indicative of a lack of attention to detail.
To add insult to injury, the extras I ordered—12 additional hush puppies—were also incorrect. I received only six hush puppies, leaving me shortchanged and dissatisfied with the overall value of my meal.
The disappointment I experienced with this order extended beyond just the incorrect items. The quality of the food itself was lackluster. The chicken lacked flavor and was dry, a far cry from the succulent seafood I had been craving. The sides, while decent, did little to salvage the meal.
Overall, my experience with Captain D's was thoroughly unsatisfactory. From the incorrect order to the subpar quality of the food, it fell short in every aspect. I would caution others against patronizing this establishment, as there are surely better options available for seafood...
Read moreArrived at about 4:10 PM. Placed our order. Drove up and paid. Had to wait with three other cars for our orders. Took about 12 minutes. We then left the parking lot and drove over to another parking lot and started to eat our meals. The french fries were lukewarm in both meals. My wife’s chicken meal, see the attached picture, looked like the chicken strips had been reheated. They were dried out and tough. Went back to Captain D’s parking lot and took the order inside to get it changed out. Meanwhile my order of fish and shrimp was in the car getting cold. Took 12 minutes for them to replace my wife’s chicken strip meal. I returned to the car and ate part of my meal and it was not good at all, the shrimp were little tiny pieces of shrimp probably correctly called popcorn shrimp. I had started eating my meal when I had to take my wife’s meal back and at that time my french fries were lukewarm. Both my wife and I figured that after having to wait in the drive-through line for 12 minutes after paying that our dinner order would probably be fresh. Big mistake. My wife tried to eat her second chicken strip meal. At least the french fries were hot but the new chicken strips were not much better than the first time around. My wife ate one strip and one hush puppie and said no I’m not eating any more of this and we ended up leaving the parking lot and throwing both meals out. We are sorry we tried this place to eat. We have eaten here in the past and it’s always been good.
