Sam's Southern Eatery — Restaurant in Selma

Came here with my daughter and her family after church last Sunday which we've done probably a dozen times before. We ordered four meals the meals came out and one of them was grilled instead of fried which we didn't order grilled. My daughter took it up to the counter and told the man we didn't order grilled and he would not change it or make it right. So she ate the meal she didn't order. I was so angry and was going to deal with the middle Eastern man at the counter but my daughter begged me not to cause a scene. This place will never get another penny of my money. Since this happened I've been told that this restaurant has been taken over by the same owners of American Deli next door and that explains a lot. I never received such treatment from the previous owners. Stay away...

Edited 1/10/24 Awesome little restaurant in Selma, Alabama. The service was fast and friendly. The food was amazing! Will definitely be back when I am visiting the area again. Edit: They had a new item, mac & cheese, for $5.99 on the menu that we decided to try on this trip. We received our order and no mac & cheese, no big deal, we just went back up to the counter to get it. We were handed the smallest styrofoam side dish container I have ever gotten with maybe 1 small ice cream scoop of mac & cheese. And to top it off, it was not flavorful at all. Total waste of $5.99....

Some good food!!! It has a very big menu!!! What do you want? Multiple types of fish, Multiple types of steak & shrimp i live the crab cakes, lasagna, variety of chicken & hamburgers. This menu is to big to name it all! You get two sides with every meal. There again, too many sides to name but you must try the corn pudding!! The desert menu is also big & it is all only 5.00 for deserts. To name some, Mississippi mud, bread pudding, brownies & ice cream.. . Prices are reasonable!!
