I used WSB for my wedding cake AND IT WAS THE BEST CAKE I'VE EVER EATEN. We got the GLUTEN FREE Salted Caramel cake with Salted Caramel buttercream. I had several guests say it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. I cannot overstate how delicious and beautiful it was. I will for sure be back.
Working with WSB was easy and I'm grateful for all of Samantha's help. I will say that the person who regularly works the front desk told us a bunch of incorrect information which left me confused at the cake tasting when Samantha gave us the correct information. I think there are substantial differences between regular event cakes and special event cakes. The woman at the front desk told us we needed to pay a down deposit (we didn't), and that the cost of the cake was based per serving and wouldn't be more than $100 (not true and we ended up getting a smaller cake than planned [2 tiers; 4 in and 6 in] and some cupcakes to compensate for around $120 including an art upcharge). To be honest, I thought we'd picked a fairly standard cake design and didn't expect an upcharge for the art, but it was $40 for the decorating. But that money was WELL DESERVED; I'm always willing to pay for the expertise, time, and effort that goes into artwork. And this cake was GORGEOUS. I'm sure it took a lot of time and hard work.
I will say, when we went to the cake tasting, the salted caramel was the clear winner. Everything else was very dry. The other flavors we tried the Strawberry, Chocolate, Mexican Hot Chocolate, and Maple Bacon (all gluten free). I've also gotten some dry cupcakes when I've visited casually. I would suggest getting a sample if you're looking for a cake for your event.
Overall, I highly recommend WSB!!! ❤
Edit Addition: Try. Their. Cheesecake. I got the red velvet chocolate dipped cheesecake during Jazz on the Alley and it was a game changer. I've had a couple other slices of cheesecake from them and just... wow. My wife loves their macaroons!

Read moreI loved this place up until today. I order cakes from here often. Walked in to place order for a cake that was to be picked up Saturday June 23 talk with the lady showed pictures of the cake told her where I got the idea from so she could go back and look. I stressed to the lady that I’m sure I would be satisfied because I buy cakes here a lot as long as everything was spelled correctly. Now when I went in to place my order she gave me a look like I was lost or something. I didn’t pay that any attention. So as I get ready to leave from placing my order of an vanilla cake with strawberry filling. She tells me she need a deposit for the cake, ok cool which I’ve never had to do. I tell her I will be at 2pm to pick up cake . She says mam we close at 2 , we’ll ok I’ll be here before two. Saturday comes 1:30 pm I go in to pick up cake. Mam your cake was a 2:00 pick up she still working on it can you come back. 2:15 I go pick up cake. Get home Son says mom it’s spelled wrong. Cut cake I have a strawberry cake with a little filling. I call on Tuesday to let them know. She says Kathy will call you back on Wednesday. Kathy calls me and says mam I’m sorry but the order has strawberry cake. We never make vanilla cake with strawberry filling unless it’s ordered. Goes on to tell me she had the recipe since 1999. I know exactly what I ordered, I’m not sure what her employee wrote down. Made me to be a whole liar didn’t apologize or anything try to make it right or nothing! I spent $51.10 on this cake for my son 13th bday today. I will never ever go back here again. They were very unprofessional . I guess she forgot that she just made me a Victoria Secret cake in September with vanilla cake and strawberry filling. I’m done with this place I’ve spent to much money here to be...
Read moreI came in yesterday because the "name of the day" was Molly and I saw that I could get a free cupcake or cookie. My husband and I were excited for the excuse to go because we love supporting local and I have a serious sweet tooth. When we first walked in a woman with brown hair and blue eyes was working behind the plexiglass window. She did not smile or wave or look happy that customers just walked in. Then, after my husband and I looked at the baked goods for about 15 seconds without being greeted, a young black woman came out very lackadaisically. She said "hello" and just looked at us. She did not smile and she did not have an ounce of a welcoming look in her eyes. She then asked us what she could help us with. I told her my name was molly and I was here for the name of the day thing. She said "the name of the day is Dylan...." And she pointed to the board behind her and just looked at me. She said it in a way that made me feel really dumb for even being there. There was ZERO customer service. Yesterday was a terrible day for me and I was so happy to go and was already planning to ask to speak to the owner to thank her for doing this silly "name day" thing because i wanted her to know what a positive impact it had on my day. It was very disappointing. The "customer service" was so poor and judgemental-feeling that we just turned around and left). When I got home I told a friend about it and she said she looked at their Facebook and the employee was wrong. According to their Facebook it was molly day. Lol. We won't be returning, unfortunately.
(Please note, I am not a bitter customer over my wasted gas or my lack of free cupcake. Mistakes happen and that's okay. I am upset with the way I...
