I can't say enough good things about the Sesser Custard Stand. It has been a community staple since I can remember! Memories of my parents taking me there after little league baseball games over 20 years ago for some sweet cold treats are priceless!! The staff has always been friendly through all those years and their decadent flavors hit the spot. They are popular and often have lines so be ready to chat with the locals and see faces you haven't seen in a while as well as close friends. From their iconic Lady Liberty ice cream cone beacon to being horse friendly, the Sesser Custard Stand is a must to stop in on when you're in town!

As a native of St. Louis, every custard/ice cream place is immediately compared to Ted Drewes. Unfortunately I have yet to find one who compares to the TASTE of Ted Drewes custard. That being said, the prices, selection, and toppings are good. Line system like other small popular places is abysmal. You would be pressed to even find a proper name for this place if you weren’t looking. Can’t beat the prices. Would definitely stop by whenever in town. Rating is 4.3 out of 5.

One cannot come through sesser in the summer time without making a stop at the custard stand. People have even been known to make a special trip to come get a tasty treat. The line may seem long, at times, but do not worry as it goes by fast. They are known for their delicious orange sherbert but do not be discouraged from trying any of their wonderful desserts. And if you are feeling extra hungry they make some great meals as well.

If you're ever in the Southern Illinois area, you must visit Sesser IL and eat at The Custard Stand. If there is a line, believe me it's worth the wait! They have the best ice cream, my personal favorite the upside down banana split. The staff are always welcoming and very friendly. Take your order at the window, you pay and then they are fast getting your order right out to you. You can sit in your car or enjoy the outdoors in the picnic area. Or you can drive down the road to Rend Lake and enjoy the scenery. In any case you will not be...

The Custard Stand has many delicious sundaes and ice cream treats. I go for their Orange Sherbet (soft serve). Vanilla and Chocolate are available too. Many people like their favorite flavor twisted with Vanilla.

Be prepared to stand in line. I personally drive over 20 miles one way to partake of this treat. While taking home a quart costs approximately $5.50, my family often indulges in this treat. I encourage you to get at least two to ensure both you and your partner...
