Lake House Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Seven Lakes

I used to greatly enjoy coming here before I went off for college, so I figured I’d bring my boyfriend here. It was what I’d call “drink packed” as most of the customers were drinking and not ordering food. It took a while for anyone to take our drink/app order and dinner order. We ordered onion rings, which were oddly sweet and greasy. Once we finished our appetizer, our plates, empty basket and empty drinks sat on the table for a little over 10 minutes despite wait-staff passing multiple times. I ordered the wing entree and my boyfriend ordered 6 wings and a side of fries. The wings were the only good part of the meal. They were crispy and hot and the fries were okay. When we were given our food, I asked for extra napkins which we never got. When we finished eating, my boyfriend asked for a small box…which we never got until we had to ask another waitress. The waitstaff were constantly hovering around all the tables except ours. I don’t know if we were treated differently as we were the youngest table seated or weren’t drinking alcohol or what, but neither are good excuses for such poor service. I don’t think I’ll be going back...

Went there last night and probably won't return. The waitress took our order and brought our drinks. She returned once to ask how everything was. I had to track down a server to ask him to order another glass of wine from her. She brought it and didn't even speak to me just put on table as she was talking to another employee. When we were ready to leave, I had to go to the bar myself to tell her we wanted to go boxes and the check because she was eating at the bar so another waitress brought the boxes and bill. I then had to RETURN to the bar to give the card to her because she also never came back. The food was mediocre at best. Worst fish and chips ever...no beer batter here. Just a plain coating on thin fish. Yuck. Fries were overly salty and soggy. My daughter's green beans were tasteless and gross. The owners are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy but the service and food need a lot of improvement...

Sorry about any spelling and grammar mistakes... I'm slipping into food comatose after that amazing half pound burger. The family that brought me here says they've been coming to the Lake House for over 25yrs and tonight I saw why. Let's just say, I taste tested everyone else's meals so I feel my review is similar to posting after three visits. Crinkle cut or hand cut? They are both yummy. I'd say it depends on your mood for which to choose. I don't remember seeing chili specifically on the menu, but after two bites of that Cowboy burger, I decided next time, I'm ordering chili! Or maybe it will be the philly spring rolls or the fish fry... idk yet. My burger was great. Juicy and flavorful. Service was the perfect amount of attention and perfectly timed. The dining room was clean. Other customers were pleasant during any...
