If you value your money and time do not give James(owner) or BARRON Tile and Stone your business… Following are factual statements that can be supported with photos and text conversations(cliff notes version for those in a rush, not a full list of transgressions): -They left a mess virtually every single day they worked in my home. To include, Day 1 of demolition they did not seal the bathroom and thusly covered 100% of my downstairs in a layer of dust. Computers, couches, dished, appliances, bed, all of my sons things, etc. James DID NOT contact me to apologize for the massive mess. -After completion, I mentioned concern about a small leak and water that would pool outside the shower. He covered it with grout moved on. That leak materialized into water damage in the nearby wood and would be the precursor to a larger issue later. -Grout in the flooring began to break up and tiles came loose. New tiles were installed individually, by hand, ensuring the intended and desired symmetry of the full sheet of flooring would not be there. Poor grout work would become a theme. Inside the shower and outside the shower and requiring multiple visits. *2nd round of tiles coming loose and grout breaking away in chunks. *The front face of the shower, tiles began to crack… every few inches, spanning the length of the front. (James has accused me of doing that damage, WITHOUT having assessed the damage) *Just inside the shower, the inner base of the shower curb… the grout is cracked from wall to wall and in a few other places where the floor meets the wall. Water is leaking from inside the shower and out of the previously mentioned cracks(and the initially indicated leaking spot) and onto the floor. I mentioned the leak, initially, April 27th. The leak has been causing damage below the surface for potentially 4.5 months.
Bullets with asterisks are current problems that have not been fixed and there has been no indication they will. My shower($8,505.61 PAID) is currently unusable and James has chosen to stop responding to attempts to contact him. Has has also not attempted to contact me. For the knowledge of all… the statute of limitations is 3 years to file in small claims court. I will post here, again, once this is...
Read moreWe had them remodel our master bathroom recently. The demo went fine but things went slowly soon afterwards. When they installed the backslash incorrectly and had to redo it, work came to almost a standstill. We repeatedly tried to contact them but the contractor would not return any of our calls. The grout job was horrible and we finally had to have another company finish it. The plumbing job left alot to be desired. Had I not checked the drain system they installed I feel the contractor wouldn't have checked it to see how poorly and out of code it was. They finally corrected it but only after I complained about it. I would definitely say that their service to the customer is very poor. I can not recommend...
Read moreI tried to use this company on 2 occasions. The first time they never called back and I had to call them 3 times before I was able to get even an answer. They basically blew me off. The second time I called about installing an under mount sink and they wouldn't even help me because I wasn't a regular customer, although I only live down the street from their business. Won't ever try them again, they waste your time and don't get...
