Prepare for somewhat long and detailed review...
I'm a New Yorker who loves New York Style Pizza and Subs.
I remember as a kid the delicious taste of New York Style Pizza with Extra Cheese. It was a wonderful taste that I haven't tasted in a very long time. That was until I discovered Seven Lakes Pizza Kitchen several years ago.
When I learned of this small business I was a little skeptical at first but when I tried one large cheese pie I was instantly hooked.
I then expanded to the Subs and other items on his menu and long story short is that THIS IS THE PLACE FOR NEW YORK PIZZA AND SUBS!!!
If you think that large pizza chains like Pizza Hut, Dominoes Pizza or even The Mellow Mushroom are good then you haven't discovered real pizza.
Mike (The Owner) and his small crew run a really good shop and I always order pizza from them whenever I'm craving a large cheese pie.
If I must give one piece of advice about this place is always place your order over the phone before you go there. They always prepare the ingredients fresh and I always have my pie fresh from the oven into the box and paid for in my hands when I place my order about 30 minutes before I get there.
Other than the 30 minute completion time from phone call to pizza box I have never had a complaint against Mike and his crew.
Massive props to you, Mike! Keep making that dough for the...
Read moreMy friend and I both live in the Triangle area, but we've heard many good things about Seven Lakes Pizza Kitchen, and decided to make the one hour pilgrimage to give it a try. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. We ordered a pizza with everything on it which, besides the kitchen sink, had every pizza topping one could possibly think of on top of it. The dough is made in-house, and tastes delicious. I can only imagine how good their subs are!
The owner, Mike, is a wonderful gentleman, and is great for conversation and stories. He also gave us a free order of garlic bread for traveling so far to enjoy his pizza.
If you ever find yourself in Seven Lakes, I highly recommend this pizza place. It's rare to find a New York pizza that is made authentically and freshly with the finest ingredients, and at a more than reasonable price. In short, this ain't Papa John's! My friend and I look forward to coming back to Seven Lakes to try another one of their many varieties...
Read moreOrdered pizza and wings. Pizza was just okay, the wings were mushy blobs of fat and breading couldn’t tell the drums from the flats, pulled them apart and there was no meat on them. Brought them back figuring maybe just a bad batch of wings. Going to give them another shot. Instead I was greeted by an arrogant, rude owner who couldn’t believe I had the nerve to complain about his food. Telling me he never had a complaint in 9 yrs. Slammed my money back on the counter and told me never come back again. No problem with that! I will say the night I ordered the pizza the cashier was perfectly friendly. It was nice to see a few days later when they were open again that they put a sign up in...
