In six words: I'm In Love With This Place.
If those 6 words aren't enough, I'll elaborate: These donuts are buckin' good!
A friend introduced me to this place several months ago and I've been here now probably 10 times, usually around 9-10am. If they were open after 5pm it would probably be my favorite dinner spot and my doctor would curse me. But all in moderation, I try to pop in a few times a month, jump-start my blood sugar and feel good about supporting a local owner-operated business.
THE STAFF: For a seemingly small little operation, I see a lot of different helpful smiling face's behind the counter. They all seem to take pride in their work and that adds to my love of stopping in. The owners are definitely the lifeblood of the success here.
THE DONUTS: Great variety and I'm slowly working my way through the inventory. I love the sausage roll (both spicy and regular). On the sweeter side, my favorite is probably the apple fritter (cherry is also great). The cinnamon roll is delicious, as are the cream-filled powdered donuts you ask for, which are made to order (you can choose white or yellow cream). These fried, stuffed and powdered dough puffs of goodness are likely to make a mess all over you, so wear the right clothing if you're munching while driving. I may or may not be speaking from experience. Hmmm... Yesterday, I tried the glazed red velvet donut. So good. There was also blueberry but red velvet screamed my name the loudest. I've tried the glazed twist, glazed croissant (Omg yes, the glazed croissant... I just wish it were bigger ). The egg & cheese breakfast croissant was also good. Next time I'm gonna try the Long John. There will be many next times. Many.
THE COFFEE: Well... I haven't tried the coffee. It is definitely not a featured item here because it wasn't until yesterday that I first saw a little 4-inch square sign on the counter next to a tiny bell that reads "ring me for coffee". I do love my coffee, almost all day, so I'll investigate this sneaky offering later. I suppose any coffee with a buckin' good donut is good coffee, but I'll let you know if it teeters into 'great' territory.
THE CONCLUSION: I love BuckāN Good Donuts and I think you will too.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe love their donuts & have been customers here since they opened. However, this morning when I went to pick up a Variety of 2 Dozen Donuts. I was charged $37 for these 2 Dozen Donuts. When I asked for a copy of my receipt, I noticed that I was charged for 1/2 dozen & then my specialty large donuts separately. Which that part is correct. However, when the YOUNG GUY rang up the other 12 CAKE donuts. He charged me for a Dozen Donuts & he also charged me 4 additional charges. This is where the charges became incorrect. I looked at their price board on the wall & realized that I had been overcharged. I brought this to the YOUNG GUYāS attention. He wanted to hear NOTHING that I had to say. His rude mentality was that he was correct & that I was wrong. Finally, a lady came from the back, I asked her to look at the receipt & tell me how many donuts I bought. She took my receipt & was dancing around my question of how many donuts I had bought. She was having trouble figuring out my receipt & started asking the YOUNG GUY questions about my receipt. He was still trying to tell me that he charged me correctly & trying to tell her that I was charged correctly. Once I showed her that I only had 24 Donuts in my box & what they were. She then said, OH NO thatās NOT RIGHT! However, I only received $4 back when actually I should have received $6.15. As a customer, we should be charged correctly & if a customer has a question about their receipt. They should be able to get help from a employee without being told their are wrong. Mistakes can happen & thatās ok. But to have a employee be unwilling to help a customer in this situation is not a good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was traveling in Knoxville/Seymour and found Buck'N Good Doughnuts (isnāt that a wonderfully fun innuendo! It made me laugh when I saw it on Google maps.) I visited it on a busy Sunday morning. The man running the counter & the drive through asked the baker to come serve me. She apologized profusely for her dusty flour apron appearance. I was pleasant and reassuring to her that if she could get 6 doughnuts into a box for me, that would be fine for me, I did not mind her appearance. After picking out my 6 doughnuts, I asked for one of the apple fritters on the shelf and she said āwait one momentā and went into the back. She returned with a freshly iced apple fritter and said "I just finished making these!" Absolutely fabulous apple fritter! Crunchy edges, soft warm middle, freshly drenched in icing. Absolutely perfect with the ice cold milk I bought. The white fluff chocolate covered, old fashioned glazed and chocolate old fashioned were equally as yummy as I ate them over the next few days with morning coffee. Highly recommend a stop here! Seriously!!!! They are really that...
