Gionino's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Sharon Township

I am beginning to think it depends on the staff working how your experience will be with Gioninos in Shelby. I’ve had great service and sadly I’ve had just as many horrible occasions. Most recently it was horrible. I called and placed an order for delivery wanting 2 orders of BBQ wings, a small chicken club pizza and a small Gioninos bread, around $40 which is our typical amount spend. First of all the girl taking my order was rude and acted like it was such an issue to take my order even going as far as correcting me when I ordered 2 orders of 12 boneless BBQ wings by saying “uhh okay so you want 24 then”. When the food arrived the delivery driver removed the boxes then removed the boneless wings bag which was completely sideways yet I still tipped him over $5. Once getting it inside you guessed it BBQ SAUCE EVERYWHERE!!! That’s not even the worst part, there was so much sauce still in the container the wings were soggy, chewy and cold. The chicken club pizza was cold (cheese should string when a pizza is delivered not clump like it’s been sitting out for hours). The only thing that was decent was the cheesy bread. Wings and pizza went in the trash and I spent more $ elsewhere for food. I paid over $40 for a small order of cheesy bread!!!! No I didn’t call due to the last time we had an issue and I called (took them over an hour and a half for delivery and food was wrong) I was told I was out of luck cause I called the next day due to not being home when the food finally arrived. I like supporting our local businesses but with service like this if I want wings or pizza it won’t be from...

Ordered $34 worth of food 6/1 @5pm...75 mins later my food showed up... The delivery driver was complete rude person....looking to see if and how much of a tip he got then looked right at us and rudeness came out of his mouth ..I called the Shelby store and I told them all my food was cold and I was treated with rudeness... I stated I wanted my money back I got laughed at ...And I got the same rudeness taking to the guy that answered the phone.....cheese on pizza was like chewing rubber... 2 orders of boneless wings ice cold...order of jo jos was a joke ... I suggest the owners have a nice long talk with there employees cause if you keep letting this happen you won't have a pizza shop in Shelby... Very bad experience I want my...

Being new to the Shelby area we didn't know about this hidden gem for awhile and were getting our pizza needs fulfilled by East of Chicago. After numerous issues with food and staff we went on a mission to find other options for pizza. Wow is all I can say!! From pizza to Fried Chicken to JoJos everything we've tried has been top notch. We have always had our orders delivered and have no complaints with that. The food arrives hot and yummy. We've not tried the subs or salads but I'm sure they are top notch just like everything else. We will depend upon Gionino's for our takeout/delivery needs from now on!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for another option for...
